Name of the indoor scrambler at Conneaut?

It's the one with the black lights and fluorescent paintings. It's something like "The _____ Trip"

Can't for the life of me remember.

The Mind Trip?

Our Scrambler at Myrtle Beach was enclosed until last season. It was called the Mind Scrambler, and had mirrors, smoke, and lasers. We used to ride it all day long. It was my favorite flat ride, only flat ride besides a Catepillar I'll ride! The building was slid under the Corkscrew, and it would shake every few minutes as a car went by, BUT last year when they built Hurricane, they took the building away. No more lasers and smoke. Now. the scrambler sits outside in the middle if the second set of helices for the Hurricane. Each is fun to watch from the other. It was better before, you couldn't see the scrambler you were on.

I'm for one glad to here of "your" scrambler. I was wondering if something similar was around.

No joke.  I grew up in Myrtle Beach and can remember waiting in line for the Mind Scrambler.  They had a bunch of black lights that made my neon shoelaces light up.  It HAD to be the most popular ride, even then.  Now I can't imagine it not being enclosed.  How sad.
Only flat ride?  You didn't ride the Swiss Bobs when it was there and the other spinning ride with the white buckets with the snowing theme?  Hehe.   Oh the memories.    :o)

I rode "X" and never went upside down.

I think it's called the Ultimate Trip.

I thought Rolloplane was trying to play "The Match Game" or something with his original post.  ;)

Yes, the ride is called The Ultimate Trip.  It resides in an ancient building near the lake end of the midway.  If you didn't know any better, you'd never guess there was a ride inside.  The Trip has to be the fastest standard Eli Scrambler I have ever been on.  Depending on the ride operator, your ride cycle time can be quite long and after spinning through the darkness with LOUD music playing for over 5 minutes.... just walking out of the building can be quite a challenge!  The ride wasn't always indoors, though.  For a few seasons (I believe 1990-1993 or so), the ride was located on the current Twister site next to the Devil's Den.  Thankfully the park decided to move it back indoors.

I do like the concept of enclosed rides.  Some work better than others though.  I rode Knoebels' Cosmotron, an enclosed Wisdom Himalaya, expecting an experience similar to the Ultimate Trip.  Unfortunately, it wasn't quite dark enough.  BGW once had an enclosed Scrambler called the Catapult, which was VERY fresh from what I remember.

Ye-ah! I rode the Catapult back in the 80s! I was disappointed to see it removed when I was back at BGW this summer.

No tricks, I just couldn't remember the name and needed it for my next article.
