Myrtle Beach mayor, councilman and development corp continue battle over Pavilion

Tempers flared and accusations flew Tuesday as the Myrtle Beach City Council continued discussing the Downtown Redevelopment Corp. Mayor Mark McBride questioned corporation spending and again called for an investigation. DRC Chairman Pete Barr fired back and said the mayor was grandstanding. The harshest accusations of the night came from Councilman Chuck Martino, who said the mayor had broken state and federal statutes and should be removed.

Hilarious! We have problems like this in our community, but I'm sure I'll be bringing my 9th grader into those meetings... NOT! (unless he has a homework assignment) I know that the situation and fate of the Pavillion is not clear, but I hope they work it out. I love heading down for my golf weekend and riding a few coasters and the Hurricane is not a bad coaster, although I enjoy the rickety Swamp Fox even more. And you're right Gator, if my father was acting like that, I would leave, too.

Looks like the councilman either has an agenda or is trying to cover his rear, maybe both. The whole thing is highly suspect.

That has to be the most insane thing I have ever read. And they wonder why a lot of parents act more immature than their kids. :-/

I can make the decision for them. Leave the Pavilion as it is......geez. Enough drama already.
