I suck. PKI is my home park and I don't know a single one of these, off the top of my head...

A day is a drop of water in the ocean of eternity. A week is seven drops.

Beast is 7400'...all the rest, I dont have a clue

- When was the Xtreme Skyflyer added? 1995

- What park did the PKI Carousel originally come from?
Coney Island Cincinnati

- Where was the original proposed location for Tomb Raider? Where King Cobra was and Delirium will be.

- How long is the Beast? 7,392ft.

I'm not much of a historian, but try to stump me on my PKI coaster statistics.

Edit: Earlier this winter I submited 25 PKI questions to my friend who works in the Tech Services Department at PKI. Next year on Q-TV look for "PKI Trivia."

Nope. PKD's is also a double theater. Not sure about the others.

-Vater

-International Resturaunt opened in 1973.
-The current general manager is Craig Ross. He started working in the park as a food service employee. He was a supervisor and worked his way up. He left the park around 1998 and worked for coorperate at Carowinds. The last general manager was Tim Fisher. (Just going a little more in depth on that one)
-The banner on the Eifel Tower on opening day red "C'mon get Happy!". It was a square yellow banner with red lettering. I'm pretty sure this banner is still hanging in the sign shop along with some of the others.
-The floral clock and calendar used to be at the front two legs of the Eifel Tower. (I think, if not it was across the way against the fountain)
-PKI's Action Theatre has two theatres.
-The Carosel came from Cincinnati's Coney Island along with other rides and actual buildings.
-Wing's used to be called Columbia Palace and was rethemed to an old Paramount movie once they bought the park.

I'm not sure about other answers so I'm not putting them just yet.

If I`m not mistaken, The Beast is 7,352 feet long, or at least that`s what the Gold Pass calendar stated this past season. Also, PKI`s current general manager, Craig Ross, started working at PKD in food service in 1975 I believe, before he became PKI`s general manager this past year.
PKD, PKI, and Carowinds ALL have double theater's in for the Action FX theatre(I've been on Carowinds and PKD's so i can verify that), and Days of Thudner was the first show there, with James Bond 007: License to Thrill coming in after a few years(thats why all the seats r double seats, it was 2 be like a race car for Days of Thunder). I'm still wondering what is different about it, other than maybe it's cause it's behind PKI's Racing Woodie???

Here are my answers to Darth Saambe's trivia questions..... the answers to mine will appear tomorrow in a seperate thread.

- When was Kings Island's Carousel originally built?

1926

- What Kings Island coaster is credited for starting the roller coaster boom we're in today?

Racer, although I don't think we are in a rollercoaster boom any longer.

- Kings Island holds the record for longest coaster in North America. What ride is it?

Well, Beast is the single longest, but as far as a coaster with the most track feet a sly contender would be Racer. Depending on whether you count it as one or two coasters.

- How long did it take to design and build The Beast?

It was a 2 year design and construction project.

- What was Kings Island's first steel roller coaster?

Bavarian Beetle was the first steel in the park. But as far as a steel coaster built specifically for KI, the Screamin Demon.

- After The Beast opened what was the next wooden coaster to open?

Son of Beast, 21 years later.

- Before Action Zone, the same area of the park was called what?

Adventure Villiage... before that, Wild Animal Habitat.

- Kings Island's Beastie was originally named what?

The Scooby Doo... and it was green. It changed names to Beastie in 1980 when a tunnel was added.

- What popular TV Sitcom shot one of their episodes at Kings Island?

Both the Partridge Family and Brady Bunch filmed there.

- What game did Greg Brady play during The Brady Bunch episode filmed at Kings Island?

Football toss, and the game attendant was named Marge.

- How many of Kings Island's roller coasters have two lift hills?

Currently or over all of KI's history? Currently 4 if you count Racer as one coaster. As far as throughout the park's history..... 5.

- Kings Island's Eiffel Tower is what proportion smaller than the real one in Paris?

1/3 scale is what the park says, but actually just a tad shy of 1/3.

- Paramount Theater open in 1976 originally named what?

The Amercian Heritage Music Hall

- White Water Canyon first opened in what year?

1985

- What was the first movie/simulator to open in Action FX Theator?

Days Of Thunder, in 1994.

- Wild Thornberry's River Adventure opened in 1972 with the parks first year but was moved from where?

Actually the King's Mill Log Flume opened with the park in 1972 after being transferred from Cincinnati's Coney Island. It was built for them in 1968 by Arrow Development for $500,000.00. Wild Thornberry's actually opened in 2001.

- The now not operating Lion Country Safari opened with over 300 animals in what year?

1974 along with the entire Wild Animal Habitat area.

Shaggy hit everyone right on the money! The only one that is contestable is that the game Greg Brady played is called "Quarterback" and not football toss. :)
