My Voyage Birthday Cake

I think you guys will appreciate this. Yesterday was my birthday and my girlfriend made me a neat Voyage cake. I have a Voyage coffee cup that she modeled it after.

She is really good with pastry being almost completely self taught. After we're done with college, she intends to go to culinary school.

Very cool, for my birthday 2 years ago I was surprised with a Talon cake and last year with an Expedition Everest Cake. My dad got pictures of both coasters and took them to Sam's Club and they scanned the picture onto the cake as an edible image. I am wondering if I am going to get another coaster cake this year as well.

Don't lie! You made that for yourself. ;)

Just kidding.

That's pretty cool, have a happy birthday.

How much extra does it cost to put a image on a Sam's Club cake?

I think Paula should put a picture on the Holiblog. Very nice.

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.
I think that Paula should invite all of us to a ERT Birthday party and let us eat cake while riding the Voyage.

Way cool. The only thing that I can think of that would be sweeter would be a full scale cake made out of HW fudge.

Have a Happy Belated B-Day !!

Life is an amusment park -and I can't get off of the damn spinning teacups!
Haha, thanks for all the nice comments! It was an individual cake she made me because we were going out after that. I wish I could make cake like her! I'll see if I can talk her into making some other coaster pastries. :)
I actually expected to see a cake designed like the whole layout. I've only seen one episode of the "Ace of Cakes" on the Food Network and read an article about the owner so my expectations were a little high!
Aw....so sweet. You have nice GF. :)

A whole layout of Voyage?? OMG that would be ridiculous in the best possible way.

I wish I would have thought to have a groom's cake in the shape of a coaster with a little bride and groom in the cars or something like that for my wedding last year. Would have been a fun little addition.

Is The Voyage your favorite coaster? Seems like a lot of people really just ADORE this ride. Debating on how long it would take to get to Holiday World by car versus plane to ride this ride (and check out Holiday World in general). Is it worth the trip?

Happy Birthday, BTW. :) *** Edited 6/14/2008 7:35:52 PM UTC by bunky666***

^ I have some left over from yesterday if you want it. :)

I didn't think when they said "tasting" for our wedding cake, that they meant they would give us each a full piece of each flavor offered! They sent us home with 8 HUGE CHUNKS of cake, and I don't normally eat sugary/fatty foods so I was absolutely sick to my stomach the rest of the day. Haha - I don't care if I see cake again for another year.
