My Hometown Park

I must have forgotten to submit it the first time so here goes again. It took so long on "PKI needs an invert" that I thought I should make another topic. This was my reaction to something someone said in there and why I can't get enough of my hometown park:

I think PKI is the best amusement park ever! I can't wait to go this year!!!.......No...I'm serious! I LOVE PKI! They have a great variety of rides for everyone in the family and a nice selection of coasters. They have:
Ratings 1 to 10 for my opinions plus some more.

1)The tallest, fastest, only looping wooden coaster in the US.(Or the World?)-Son of Beast
9-SOB had a rough first year with very mixed reviews and delays from technical problems and testing. I think it will grow on people in time and will be even better this year. I don't see how anyone would be upset with this having every element of a wooden coaster. The average waits for us with the 2 trains were 30-45 minutes.

2)An invertigo(only face to face coaster in the US?World?)-Face/Off
8-Even though this is a cookie cutter design used in almost every park, Face/Off gives a fun and interesting ride because you can see the fear in the other people's face across from you. I've ridden this over 30 times and still get scared by the G-forces and hanging up the lift hill. My friend's wife tears up every time she's on it. Average wait '99-1 hour,Avg.wait 2000-20 min.

3)Single rail family inverted coaster-Scooby's Ghoster Coaster
?-I've heard good things about this from kids and I've ridden it, but I won't rate it because it's not aimed at my age group. The waits have gotten up to 1 hr for this one though. Sorry parents. Try to keep your kids away from this one just for the wait.

4)Launched sit-down coaster completely in the dark-Flight of Fear
7-I don't mind the head banging. I love the launch! The rest of the ride is ok. Some nice G's and a cool corkscrew ending. Avg. wait-9/10 of the time ther 愀爀攀 琀漀琀愀氀 眀愀氀欀 漀渀猀⸀ 伀渀 愀 戀愀搀 搀愀礀Ⰰ 礀漀甀 挀漀甀氀搀 最攀琀 愀渀 栀漀甀爀⸀ 唀猀甀愀氀氀礀 渀漀琀 椀渀 琀栀攀 洀椀搀搀氀攀⸀ 伀渀攀 漀爀 琀栀攀 漀琀栀攀爀⸀ 吀栀椀猀 椀猀 漀渀攀 漀昀 漀甀爀 昀愀瘀漀爀椀琀攀猀 漀渀 琀栀攀 最漀漀搀 搀愀礀猀⸀ 䰀漀琀猀 漀昀 爀攀ⴀ爀椀搀攀猀⸀ 㰀戀爀㸀 㰀戀爀㸀㔀⤀䄀 猀甀猀瀀攀渀搀攀搀 挀漀愀猀琀攀爀ⴀ吀漀瀀 䜀甀渀 㰀戀爀㸀㜀ⴀ匀栀漀爀琀 戀甀琀 猀眀攀攀琀⸀ 吀栀椀猀 爀攀愀氀氀礀 瀀愀挀欀猀 愀 瀀甀渀挀栀℀ 一漀琀 愀 猀椀渀最氀攀 猀氀漀眀 琀椀洀攀⸀ 䄀瘀最⸀眀愀椀琀ⴀ䨀甀猀琀 氀椀欀攀 䘀漀䘀⸀ 㰀戀爀㸀 㰀戀爀㸀㘀⤀䄀 昀愀洀椀氀礀 猀琀攀攀氀 洀椀渀攀 爀椀搀攀 挀漀愀猀琀攀爀ⴀ䄀搀瘀攀渀琀甀爀攀 䔀砀瀀爀攀猀猀 㰀戀爀㸀㔀ⴀ一椀挀攀 爀椀搀攀Ⰰ戀甀琀 昀漀爀 昀椀爀猀琀 琀椀洀攀爀猀Ⰰ 愀 搀椀猀愀瀀瀀漀椀渀琀椀渀最 攀渀搀椀渀最⸀ 䜀漀漀搀 琀爀礀 愀琀 琀栀攀洀椀渀最⸀ 䄀渀 㠀 爀愀琀椀渀最 漀渀 愀 挀漀漀氀 渀椀最栀琀⸀ 圀愀椀琀ⴀ圀愀氀欀 漀渀 琀漀 ㄀㔀 洀椀渀⸀ 㰀戀爀㸀 㰀戀爀㸀㜀⤀匀椀砀 氀漀漀瀀攀爀 猀琀攀攀氀 猀椀琀ⴀ搀漀眀渀 挀漀愀猀琀攀爀ⴀ嘀漀爀琀攀砀 㰀戀爀㸀㠀ⴀ䄀 瘀攀爀礀 甀渀搀攀爀爀愀琀攀搀 挀漀愀猀琀攀爀 眀椀琀栀 洀椀渀椀洀甀洀 栀攀愀搀戀愀渀最椀渀最 愀渀搀 猀氀漀眀Ⰰ琀栀爀椀氀氀椀渀最 挀漀爀欀猀挀爀攀眀猀⸀ 圀愀椀琀ⴀ㄀ ⴀ㈀  洀椀渀⸀ 㰀戀爀㸀 㰀戀爀㸀㠀⤀䘀椀爀猀琀 猀琀愀渀搀ⴀ甀瀀 挀漀愀猀琀攀爀⠀⬀㔀 漀甀琀猀琀愀渀搀椀渀最 攀氀攀洀攀渀琀猀⤀ⴀ䬀椀渀最 䬀漀戀爀愀⠀最爀攀愀琀 爀椀搀攀℀⤀ 㰀戀爀㸀㜀ⴀ倀爀漀戀漀戀氀礀 漀渀攀 漀昀 琀栀攀 戀攀猀琀 漀昀 愀 昀椀爀猀琀⸀ 吀栀攀 栀攀氀椀砀 愀渀搀 挀愀洀攀氀 栀甀洀瀀猀 愀爀攀 爀攀愀氀氀礀 昀甀渀⸀ 圀愀椀琀ⴀ㄀ ⴀ㈀  洀椀渀⸀ 㰀戀爀㸀 㰀戀爀㸀㤀⤀䬀椀搀搀椀攀 挀漀愀猀琀攀爀ⴀ吀漀瀀 䌀愀琀✀猀 吀愀砀椀 䨀愀洀 㰀戀爀㸀 㰀戀爀㸀㄀ ⤀吀眀椀渀 爀愀挀椀渀最⠀猀甀瀀瀀漀猀攀搀 琀漀⤀ 眀漀漀搀攀渀 漀甀琀 愀渀搀 戀愀挀欀 挀漀愀猀琀攀爀猀⠀戀愀挀欀眀愀爀搀猀 愀渀搀 昀漀爀眀愀爀搀猀⤀ⴀ吀栀攀 刀愀挀攀爀 㰀戀爀㸀㄀ ⴀ匀漀 昀甀渀℀ 䄀 挀氀攀愀爀 挀氀愀猀猀椀挀 琀漀 洀攀⸀ 䤀 眀椀猀栀 琀栀攀礀 眀漀甀氀搀 琀爀礀 琀漀 爀愀挀攀 洀漀爀攀 琀栀漀甀最栀⸀ 刀椀搀攀愀戀椀氀椀琀礀 椀猀 琀栀爀漀甀最栀 琀栀攀 爀漀漀昀℀ 圀愀椀琀㨀圀愀氀欀 漀渀 ⴀ㈀  洀椀渀⸀ 㰀戀爀㸀 㰀戀爀㸀㄀㄀⤀䘀愀洀椀氀礀 愀渀搀 䬀椀搀搀椀攀 眀漀漀搀攀渀 挀漀愀猀琀攀爀ⴀ䈀攀愀猀琀椀攀 㰀戀爀㸀㔀ⴀ匀琀椀氀氀 最椀瘀攀猀 愀 氀椀琀琀氀攀 琀栀爀椀氀氀 琀漀 攀瘀攀渀 洀攀⸀ 䬀椀搀猀 眀椀氀氀 最椀瘀攀 椀琀 愀 ㄀ ⸀ 圀愀椀琀㨀㔀ⴀ㄀  洀椀渀⸀ 㰀戀爀㸀 㰀戀爀㸀㄀㈀⤀䰀漀渀最攀猀琀 眀漀漀搀攀渀 挀漀愀猀琀攀爀⠀眀椀琀栀 愀渀 椀渀挀爀攀搀椀戀氀攀 最ⴀ昀漀爀挀椀渀最 栀攀氀椀砀⤀ⴀ吀䠀䔀 䈀䔀䄀匀吀 㰀戀爀㸀㄀ ⴀ匀瀀攀攀搀Ⰰ氀攀渀最琀栀 愀渀搀 昀漀爀挀攀⸀ 吀栀攀 愀戀猀漀氀甀琀攀 戀攀猀琀 漀昀 愀氀氀 ㌀℀ 䐀漀渀✀琀 氀漀漀欀 昀漀爀 愀 琀漀渀 漀昀 搀爀漀瀀猀⸀ 䤀 琀栀椀渀欀 漀渀氀礀 ㌀⸀ 䈀甀琀 琀栀愀琀 椀猀 挀漀洀瀀氀攀琀攀氀礀 洀愀搀攀 甀瀀 昀漀爀℀ 䔀猀瀀攀挀椀愀氀氀礀 戀礀 琀栀愀琀 栀愀渀搀 挀栀漀瀀瀀椀渀最⠀䤀 琀栀漀甀最栀琀 栀攀愀搀 挀栀漀瀀瀀椀渀最℀⤀栀攀氀椀砀 琀甀渀渀攀氀猀⸀ 䤀 最攀琀 猀漀 猀挀愀爀攀搀 攀瘀攀爀礀 琀椀洀攀℀ 吀栀攀 䜀ⴀ䘀漀爀挀攀猀 椀渀 琀栀攀爀攀 昀攀攀氀猀 氀椀欀攀 ㄀ ℀ 圀愀椀琀㨀㌀ ⴀ㐀㔀 洀椀渀⸀ 一攀瘀攀爀 昀愀椀氀猀 琀漀 戀爀椀渀最 椀渀 琀栀攀 挀爀漀眀搀猀⸀ 㰀戀爀㸀 㰀戀爀㸀倀氀甀猀㨀 㰀戀爀㸀 㰀戀爀㸀㄀⤀圀愀猀⠀漀爀 洀愀礀戀攀 猀琀椀氀氀 椀猀⤀琀栀攀 琀愀氀氀攀猀琀 最礀爀漀 搀爀漀瀀 椀渀 琀栀攀 唀匀ⴀ䐀爀漀瀀 娀漀渀攀 㰀戀爀㸀㄀ ⴀ伀渀攀 漀昀 琀栀攀 昀攀眀 爀椀搀攀猀 䤀 爀攀最爀攀琀 漀渀挀攀 琀栀攀 爀椀搀攀 猀琀愀爀琀猀Ⰰ 戀甀琀 愀爀攀渀✀琀 眀攀 猀甀瀀瀀漀猀攀搀 琀漀 眀愀渀琀 琀漀 戀攀 猀挀愀爀攀搀⸀ 吀栀愀琀✀猀 眀栀愀琀 眀攀 氀漀瘀攀 戀攀猀琀℀ 圀愀椀琀ⴀ㐀㔀ⴀ㄀ 栀漀甀爀 㰀戀爀㸀 㰀戀爀㸀㈀⤀爀椀瀀挀漀爀搀 搀爀漀瀀⠀挀漀猀琀 攀砀琀爀愀⤀ⴀ堀琀爀攀洀攀 匀欀礀昀氀礀攀爀 㰀戀爀㸀 㰀戀爀㸀㌀⤀䴀漀瘀椀渀最 猀攀愀琀 琀栀攀愀琀爀攀 漀渀挀攀 themed to Days of Thunder and James Bond OO7-The 7th Portal
6-Fun, but repetitive. Wait-15-20 min.

4)Several flat rides including Scrambler,Monster, Viking Fury and Shake,Rattle and Roll.

5)2 children's themed areas-Nicholodeon Splat City and Hanna Barbara Land

6)Tons of great shows!

7)4 Water Rides-2 log flumes,a river rapids,and a splash-down falls ride

8)A free water park with admission along with a once largest wave pool in the US, several slides, a lazy river, a family large tube slide, and a kids area and slides.

9)Plus, A LOT more!

Please correct me if I'm wrong on anything. Or more I don't know. Please! I hope my opinions didn't get in the way much. I hope I didn't ramble on, but people should visit this great park. If you're in the area of...the United States, don't miss this one!

So,does anyone else want to tell about their hometown park and why you think it's the best. Anyone agree or disagree about what I said(without comparing)? I mainly want to do this because I want to know how you feel of the park you probobly know the best. And maybe a reroute to a summer amusement park road trip. :) Thanks for replying!

Wow you really like PKI, i can't even right that much about my own life.

LOL Supermandl! Once you get inspired, you just keep writing. LOL. ;)
Another long post. :)

What is life without geniuses?
I think SOB is missing one element a wooden coaster should have and that is airtime.

I deleted the post the first time because you posted exactly the same thing in two different threads.

Oops! Sorry Jeff. You're wrong though. The second time it was added to about 15%. This time about 50% more. I had written that entire post as a reply instead of making it it's own thread. So sorry again. But what is one new thread going to hurt. People too lazy to go to the next page, huh? Just Joking! :) Have a nice day!

I definitely agree with you geicu. But with a loop a guess it's either what you got not or that + head banging. No one wants a horsecollar. I like the design of the trains though.

I know I remember seeing an old wooden coaster whose trains had seats facing each other. I want to think Great Escape's Comet (or one of its incarnations), but I could be wrong. Anyone know?

From what I know it was the second life of the Crystal Beach Cyclone. I could look it up in my RollerCoaster! mag but I'm too lazy. :) Oh, and there are three Invertigos in the US so Face/OFF doesn't hold any sort of record. Unless of course, the record is "The coaster that most reminds you of McDonald's." :)

Only 3 invertigos? So there's Face/Off at PKI, and Invertigo at another Paramount Park,I think? So where's the 3rd. Are you counting SFMM new one? I actually figured there would be a lot more of those.
Only 3, not counting the one in Sweden. Bcdzoom: the Paramount one you're thinking of is Invertigo at PGA, and the third isn't the SFMM one, it's Two Face: the Flip Side, at SFA
OK, Thanks Krazy. Is there anything special about Two Face that sets it apart?
