My first coaster trip, Day 5, PKI.

Associated parks:
None

Busy day. It was bring a friend day.

I was able to ride just about everything that I wanted at least once except for Face off, Drop Zone and the kiddy coasters.

One ride on Beast, back seat. Great coaster, but painfull, almost as bad as Mean Streak.

SOB, front seat. Wow is this a great coaster.

Top gun. Good. What Draggin Iron could have been.

Delirium. Wow is this great. Well worth the wait. I think that they could increase the capacity of this ride. After the ride stops, it seems like a long time before the floor comes up, and then another wait for the harness to unlock. If they play with the timming of things, they should be able to increase the capacity quite a bit I think.

Flight of fear. What a surprise. Worth the wait.

Tomb Raider. Long line, I was a little disappointed. It's a good ride, don't get me wrong, but I thought that there should be more to it. Long line and then you wait inside of two different chambers leading up to the ride, a short video, and then the ride spins you upside down a few times. I just thought that the ride would be longer. I was disappointed to learn that they were only filling two of the three rows of seats when we boarded the ride. With the park as full as it was, you would think that they would be running the ride at capacity.

Racer, both sides. Another backwards running coaster. That's neat.

Vortex. One ride. Good coaster.

PKI is a great park. It is beautiful at night and well worth a trip, just do not go on take a friend day unless you like to stand in line. As I drove past Saturday morning on my way home, the parking lot was about half as full as it was Friday.

Lets go Drag racing.

Friday was one of the worst days I've seen as far as crowds go. You're lucky to have had such a good experience with that. Sorry TRTR wasn't running to full capacity, but they were having some "problems" with it earlier in the week. It's nice to find someone else who likes SOB more than Beast. The Beast is definitely the rougher of the two IMO, although if I sit on a non-wheel seat at night, it's a top 10 coaster for me. It's true that Delirium acts up at times as well, but I think it has been fairly reliable overall.

Coaster Insomniacs

Son of Beast's new bars have made it my new favorite, slightly above Beast. No more leg-banging.
