My dream, which shall come true.

I know we have all done this, got out grid paper, and desiged our own theme park, every aspect of it, types of rides, names , etc, (although when we would get the chance to fulfill these ideas, there will be much more possibilities) I just cant help but dream, of the park which I will soon own. And i do plan on starting one, maybe even a chain. I have names, etc. Anyone else like this? My hometown will be booming with the expansion of a 200 acre mega park :)

I am sure you are not the only one. There is a vacant lot on my way to PKI and i always think how nice it would be to have a park there.
yeah, but would it do good right next to another park? especially one with 10 coasters.

I always see parks along the interstate when i'm driving. A blinking cell phone tower could be a drop ride or a warning light on top of a 200 ft coaster. Or that valley would look good with a coaster poping thru the tops of the trees. I often thought about buying some cheap used rides and putting them in my back yard. The only problem is saving up the $69,000 for the cheap ride. :(

In fact a co-worker and i were talking about that the other day. I was thinking how great it would be to open my own thme park like out in Arizona (1/2 b/w Phoenix & Tuson[sp?]). She was like "Yeah, you'd get rich a whole lot quicker than working here" (lol). All I have to do know is find about 100 million dollars of venture capital and it'll be all good =]
hehe, true

This makes me feel better now. It's glad to know I'm not the only one who's thought about designing roller coasters and theme parks around my home. I thought of myself as being a little "different" for being that way, but I'm glad to find others who share the same passion for amusement parks and coasters. My dream when I was little was to be a roller coaster designer. I still have folders full of little rides I designed during my spare time in elementary school. I did it all: wooden, steel, mine trains, suspended, and even inverted and stand-ups when they first became popular. Unfortunately, as I reached high school, English and history courses interested me so much more than the physics and calculus needed to design roller coasters, so my dream is dead. Still, it feels good to know I was not alone.
My dream is still alive. I want to go into architecture and that could be useful in designing rides and themeing stuff also i really really like math so i am in good condition
Well im glad im not the only one. I wonder if a bank would give someone a 50 million loan to start a good park? with maybe 1 or 2 coasters.

Hey Hostyl. I would not even think of trying to open a theme park halfway between Phoenix and Tuscon. Sorry, its just to hot(115 degrees on average in the summer). Though, halfway between Phoenix and Flagstaff up on the measa might work(hint hint any chain).
WildOne: Thats why I need so much money, the majority of the park would be indoors. I would have the large coasters (only like 3 ~$33 mill) board inside, but the ride would be outside (ala Desparado). The whole interior of the park would be about the size of Potomac mills with the coasters speckeled on the outside. It could be done.... *** This post was edited by 2Hostyl on 8/2/2000. ***
