My Birthday at Kennywood: 8-14-2005 Ok, after a much hated day, yes my birthday surprisingly turned out AWESOME. If I didn’t go to KW it would have sucked major ass. Ok now on to rides! My friend Mike and I met at the front entrance at 6. We both agreed we could fit everything in within 4 hours. We found out the park was staying open until 11. OMG I haven’t seen KW open until 11pm since last year. The threat of rain was upon us, but God must have been happy. It never rained while we were there.
Well, we hit the fabulous PR first. We rode in the 1st car second seat. Off we were clickity clacking up the lift. I love arrow chain lifts. To me it is the sound of summer. We had a great ride as always, but had better later on. Keep reading folks. Off to Exterminator. We waited 45 minutes, which I normally don’t wait for on this ride but, it was well worth it. We spun out of control. We were laughing so hard, and I had THE BEST ride ever on it. I had never had it spun so much ever. We did ride it later, but both agreed the first ride was better. Why can’t they just let the pins loose through the whole ride, would make it much more fun, lol jk. We then ate at the baby patch. Yes we had yummy chicken strips and patch fries. Sooooo good. They were hot right out of the fryer. Best kind. We took a walk to the T-Bolt. Waited about 10 minutes and off we were in the second to last seat. We got a good ride though the trims were on. More on this later. We hit Aero 360 next and it was its normal ride. We waited only one ride cycle. The parks were clearing quickly for sure. We walked over to the Racer and it had a short line as well, so we hopped into the back seat and had a very cool ride, we got airtime on that last hill, and it seemed faster then ever. Now was the time for the Jack Rabbit. My friend Mike grew up here and has ridden everything. But he didn’t know how to ride the JR the right way. We got in the “ejector” seat and off we went. I told him, hands up on that double down. And our belt was plenty loose. Both of our butts hit that top of the seat. INSANE air! Gotta love that!
Now for our night rides. Everyone knows PR runs so much better at night. I normally don’t like to sit in the back of PR for my back, jars a little much. But tried it again, and I will never go back. We got more air THEN EVER before. PR was flying all night long. I swear that thing picks 2-3 mph at night. Got 3 total darkness rides. We also hit the Pittfall at night, just for the river view. And we got just that. Great drop ride, but it’s got the view. YUM YUM! We took a stroll back to the Thunderbolt it had no line. Took once again the ejector seat and got huge airtime off the first hill out of the station. Mega mooching happened, and we were laughing hysterically. We then hit the bumper cars on the way out. These aren’t nearly as good as the ones at GL, they are so much slower and it’s harder to do good head-ons. My friend Mike and I kept hitting each other and the last hit had us reeling back about 15 feet. Great times were had, and I am actually glad I had a better bday then before.
Thanks for reading this super long TR. I didn’t take my camera this time but you are more then welcome to take a look at the ones I took from May and July on my photo-website.
