My Coke Rewards - SF Discount

Lord Gonchar's avatar
If you drink Coke products, you know they're sticking those stupid codes on everything. You enter the codes at the Coke Rewards website and earn points toward different things.

57 points will get you $10 off of a full price admission to an branded SF theme park (not water parks or unbranded parks). Not that great of a deal being as tickets off the SF site are cheaper (and I know enthusiasts can find the bargains ;) ), but just another example of how SF is getting their name into seemingly everything lately. I imagine those less familiar with things could be tempted by such a deal. (see GP types)

There's also a link to enter a monthly drawing for $100 in SF cash - so that could buy a few huffs of flavored air at SFGAdv or something along those lines for anyone on a budget. :)

Some of the other prizes include Hilton HHonors points and Delta discounts, so those could help with the coaster trips this year too.

Not to mention the fact that most coke cans give you $10 off admission if you live near the park (allthough in DC for some reason the can discount is for PKD instead of the closer SFA.)

Here in Birmingham, the discount is $15 at SFoG. Not sure why someopne would go to all the trouble to get a $10 off coupon when a can from any machine around here gets you $15.

Of course, that wasn't the point of Gonch's post, but SF coupons on coke cans is old news around here. Been going on as long as i can remember.

Never even thought of the can discount thing.

So you can buy six 12-packs and get $10 off or just take a can to the park and get the same or better discount.

Maybe it's a way to pull from areas that aren't technically SF markets. For instance, Pittsburgh. We now have no SF parks nearby, so no can discount and obviously (as evidenced by my own stupidity) the idea of snagging a discount can near the park wouldn't hit everyone.

But yeah, more to the point, I found it interesting just how far reaching their plan to get the SF logo in front of everyone goes.

A few weeks ago, the site had either a 4 pack of 1 day SF admissions or 4 season passes (I think it was 1 day admissions but can't remember for sure), but it looks like they were removed from the site. It was a crazy amount of points anyway (800 something I think) but I wonder if they only have a set number of prizes and once that amount is redeemed, they are taken off of the site (I noticed the coupon for a 2 free liter and free 12 pack rewards were also removed from the rewards).
Two noticeable things from that package.

1) Mr Six on the advert.

2) Kentucky Kingdom is excluded.

I went to a Flagged park "on business" this week.

No, not that one.

Anyhow, they were offering $15 off each admission up to 6 tickets with any gasoline receipt.

No, not that one, either.

Also, all the Mr. Six stuff was at least 50% off. Got a nice shot glass for $2.
