Associated parks:
Kings Dominion, Doswell, Virginia, USA
I haven't been on a while, sorry. Anyway...
After spending the day At Mount Vernon, we went to our hotel on KD property. We had a few hours of free time so we went to the park to get a little time in the park before we went the next day.
We got in with our Cedar fair platinum passes from Knott's Berry Farm. First ride had to be a family ride so we tried Boo Blasters. It had a 2 minute wait. The ride was pretty good. My brother said he didn't like it (he was just mad he didn't have the most points). But we all did 7.5 out of ten
Next up was another family ride: Avalanche. My mom was hesitant because she gets motion sickness, but she was fine. It was pretty good. My mom was scared because there was "no track". It was an OK coaster, but great family ride. 7 out of ten
We had to do ANOTHER family ride so we chose Backlot Stunt Coaster. This did NOT feel like a family coaster. The launch was OK, but the first helix had some strong forces strong enough to make me gray out. It had great theming unlike another park I know cough*sfmm*cough. 8 out of ten
We finally had some freedom. My dad and I did Volcano, so we could ride before lines got long in the morning. My mom and brother went on backlot again, since he's not tall enough for Volcano. Volcano is FUN! The barrel rolls were floaty and had great hangtime. The launch was fast. It was too short though. 9 out of ten
I REALLY wanted to try Intimidator 305, since I like height and speed more than inversions. My brother and dad went on Anaconda. 3 words. OH MY GOD! Intimidator 305 is the best rollercoaster I've ever been on!!! that's an understatement. I sat in front at night and it's just so fast and crazy. 10 out of ten
Before we called it a night, my dad and I went on Flight of Fear. It was really rough. I banged my head a lot. I cannot imagine it with the OTSR's. 6 out of ten
The next morning, we waited for the gate to open and ran to I305. It was a walk on for the back. Still AWESOME! But I liked it better in the front seat at night. 9.5 out of ten
We went to Drop Tower. No line and still had empty seats. After the first time, we stayed on for a reride. Crazy drop. 8.5 out of ten
Rebel Yell was close so we tried that. It was very smooth and was our favorite woodie at KD. 8 out of ten
Ugh. Hurler. OW. Hurt. Ugh. 3 out of ten.
Ricochet my brother didn't go on. It looked like a long line but it wasn't. My favorite mouse. Then again, I haven't been on many Wild Mice. 6.5 out of ten
I thought Grizzly would be cool but it was really rough. I kinda was disapointed. 4 out of ten
We tried Flying eagles which was cool, I guess. 5 out of ten
It was hot so we went on their log flume. It had a really nice setting in the forest. 7 out of ten
My brother forced me onto their rapids. I got soooooo wet. I have to admit, they were good rapids. 5 out of ten
We got Starbucks and then went to Beserker. We spent 10 minutes standing there while they cleaned barf out of the ride. It was funny to watch people's expression "OMG it goes upside down". Ok, onto the ride. The restraints were so so so so TIGHT. OWWWWWWWWWW! They kept you upside down so long. Yikes. My bro liked it though. 3 out of ten
I tried Dominator. I don't really remember it because my head had really hurten from previous rides. 7 out of ten
We relaxed on Boo Blasters. It was better that time. We were the only ones in line and rode again. 8 out of ten
We had lunch near Anaconda. I had a disgusting burger. Blech
Ok onto Anaconda. I didn't think the ride would be THAT bad. BUT IT HURT SO FLIPPIN BAD! OWWWWWWWWWWW! My ear get slammed and me head banged. I even cried from pain. 1 out of ten
After Anaconda, I couldn't take much more so we relaxed in the water park for about an hour. Slides were good.
I wanted to do one more ride on I305. I dragged my nervous dad on. He loved it. My head still hurted. 9 out of ten
I absolutely loved Kings Dominion. I wish I had ridden shockwave but i didnt want my head to get worse.
I NEVER get wet on KD's Rapids :(

Actually, Anaconda didn't bother me nearly as bad as another (now scrap metal) Arrow looper, Great American Scream Machine.
I missed I305 by a year and have not had the opportunity to get back down there. I am envious!
I missed Avalanche when I was there. Just completely didn't see it.
Shockwave was not something you needed to ride, for sure, although most of the pain and roughness I experienced was in the hips and sides of my body from those weird restraints.
Hurler is a POS. I wish they'd burn it down or send the wood up here to restore Dorney's historical Thunderhawk wooden coaster.
Grizzly...my own boob hit me in the face on Grizzly. 'Nuff said.
Glad to hear you had a great time for the most part! I really enjoyed Kings Dominion when I was there last, and I wish I could get there again sooner rather than later.

I voted this up because of one line. Guess which? I laughed and laughed...

Back when I was hitting a lot of parks for the first time, I would print out the RCDB listing and stick it in my wallet before heading out. Just to make sure I was fully whoring myself out.
Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."
I usually write out a list of which ones from rcdb I want to hit, but in this case, I did not. I was focused pretty much on Dominator, Rebel Yell, and Volcano, as well as Grizzly...but then I also wanted to hit the nearby Six Flags on my way home, so I wasn't as focused as usual. I really have I get back to the area. Also wanna get to BGE, since I haven't been there since DrachenFire opened.
