My 300th coaster.....

Does anyone know the offical count on how many coasters there is that are running right noe, US and the whole world if you do know

Way to go John! I'm just 3 or 4 coasters shy of 300 coasters, as is my brother, who lives a good 1000 miles away. It's a tight race to see who gets 300 first. (I think I will win :) )

Of course, how many coasters you've really ridden means nothing. All that matters it that you have fun, right? :)

I'm at exactly 100. Track record says 99, but there needs to be an update in the Coasters/Parks section to get me there. Of course I have a weird way of counting duelers/racers, but that's just me.

pt300(having fun and counting, is that ok ?;))

Wow, principal Skinner makes $20,000 dollars a year! He's a millionaire! And he paints houses during the summer! He's a billionaire!

Go to rcdb.com census link.

Congrats, though Vegas (and #300) is just around the corner for me! How many times have we passed each other? Ah, but I'll get ya at 400! LOL Wonder if I can time it right and hit X then......

Thankfully I've finally found a woman who loves coasters (more than me, if that's possible). Now I'm more interested in getting her record up there!

I didn't think that I liked coasters that much... but I'd be happy if I got to 50 ;)

LOL at Jess' Toboggan sig.

But how did you notice the thigh-squishing? I was too busy with the head-banging-while-holding-neck-in-question-mark-stance thing to notice.

The CPlaya 100--6 days, 9 parks, 47 coasters, 2037 miles and a winner.....LoCoSuMo.

If this counts then i have ridden over 200 rollercoaster rides. Do they have to be diffrent or can they be the same if they have to be differnt i got 155.
She lies. Toboggan gets her pumped ;) Congrats John

Playa - My thighs aren't the thinnest out there, so I at first got smooshed thighs, then I had to almost fold in half to ride the thing. I forgot to tell my brother about that dip at the end though... whoops ;)

Jonathan - Toboggan doesn't get me pumped, Thunderbolt does. Thunderbolt gets Colby pumped, anyway. :)

I'm only 13 and I have 223! (I don't mean to brag.) I hope to get 300 by the end of next summer.

Congrat's on 300 John! This summer was "decent" for me, although I still wish I could've whored myself around alittle bit more ;). As of right now I'm at 457 (gasp!), and I WILL hit 500 this coming summer (although I would've hit it if I could've made it on the ACE Europe trip!). 300 is a huge mark though, and I highly respect that. Congrats again, and here's to looking for another 300!

I have a whopping 33 on my record right now. Come Columbus day weekend I hope to add two or three more though. But then again I am 15 and can't really get around yet.

Congrats John!

For as many "old" and defunct coasters as I've ridden, my track record was a dismal 30 at the beginning of this season. With Coasterbuzz con at PKI and our trip to SFGAm, I'm now up to 49 coasters, with hopes of adding more next season.

I'm sure things would have been much different had I been born 10 years later. As it was, there was no ACE, no coaster shows, and no internet when I was "free" to travel. I had no idea what was out there back then.

I just thank my lucky stars that I have a husband who is willing to put up with me now.

Last year I started the year out with somewhere around 20 some coasters then got up to 57 by the end of the year. Then this year I went from 57 now to 92 and I still have a trip to either SFGAm or SFGAdv planned for sometime in October. So I should break 100 before this season is over!

What would we all do if roller coasters became non-existent???

That is impressive. I'm curious as to how you manage to get around so much at your age.

Congratulations jp! That's a pretty serious coaster count right there.....I was, as recently as '99 not a full-fledged "enthusiast" with a minimal count....now that I finally broke 200 (on a Schmeck, no less!), I can see getting to 250 with domestic travel alone (TX, NE, MO, etc)....getting past that point involves some serious travel! It does take a considerable amount of "dedication" to get a sizeable track record, but it's worth it....good work!

I've only been an enthusiast for 9 months, and I don't travel just for coasters. I only have 29 (if you count coasters with two tracks as two), but next year I'll be going on my first coaster trip to PKI and CP!

Gator - Looks like we may have similar plans for next season: Texas, New England...

chris, New England? I was referring to that "bumper crop" in Nebraska....j/k, couldn't resist....only thing in *that* NE is corn, which is good stuff as well, but not nearly as much FUN! We'll have to compare plans before "the season" rolls around.....whatever that means, lol. I guess 250 is possible by the end of next year, but I get no *credits* for all those great rides I've already visited and have a tremendous NEED to re-ride....ain't that right, Paula?
