My 1st ever coaster trip!

This coming Wednesday I will be going to SFMW and it will be the first time I will get to experience a ride on a coaster! I am planning on going straight to Medusa. I will be going with my friend who is on this site as "coastermaster" Can you guys please help me plan and prepare for my first experience?
