Music and Coasters

Which roller coaster would you like to have music in the background and what song would you want to play.
I think the outer limits at PKD would be cool if the play new music on it.
if you wanted a song for olfof, than it should be metallicas wiplash.
That real funny hothitz!
For the Beast I'd like to hear "We Will Rock You" (I do know they use to play it before) and for the Vortex "Block Rockin' Beats" by the Chemical Brothers.

Can you take me higher? (CREED)

For the Legend at Holliday World, "I Disapear" by Metalica. You do dissapear for awhile back by the waterpark.

Six Flags America IS a Six Flags park!
I get tired of music when i'm waiting in line. At Hershey anyway. For the Lightning Racer they play Born To Be Wild by Stepenwolf and Can You Take Me Higher by Creed. I don't think they play the entire songs but after about 10 minutes it get to be enough. Then they have the stupid recording "Never EEEEEVVVVVEEERRR throw an object from the train."

I personally like to hear the screams and the roar of the coaster. If I did have to lisen to music it would have to be from a Wulitzer organ. Nothing fits an amusement park better. My favorite park has 3 in different organs playing thruout the park. Gives a real nice background music. Just like the carousel on RCT! :)

In an amusement park, give me a WurliTzer 153 over canned music anyday! It's what a park is supposed to sound like!
Some Slipknot or Korn would be nice.

Interseting thread, and one I'd like to chime in on. For those of you who have ridden Space Mountain in LA or in France, or the Rock N' Roller Coaster at Disney/MGM, you know what music can do for a coaster. When I first climbed in RnRC and that Aerosmith soundtrack kicked on as the car darted off, I was blown away. I had the same feeling winding around in the dark on SM at Disneyland with that wonderful original score so perfectly timed to each element. This is a trend I definitely hope to see continue and grow. We've become so accustomed to music in movies, at sports events, on TV, and in the malls - not to mention on most other types of thrill rides at amusement parks, that it only seems natural to wire the tracks of all of our favorite coasters. Of course, the fact that I work as a musician and composer has me chomping at the bit to try this new form of scoring. How cool would it be to say "you know that guitar lick you hear as you come out of that corkscrew? Yeah, I did that!"
Just my thoughts,

The song Carmina Burana would be great for a lift hill.
I am sorry, but the song Headup by the Deftones is absolutely PERFECT for a long, launched coaster. It starts off quiet then builds up for like 10 seconds then explodes into action(launch) it goes like that for a bit then cools off just for a second(block/trim brakes) then it goes on for a while again then it cools off once more then explodes into some intense action again(great finale possible helix) then the song just stops and cools off for like 2 minutes. It would almost work perfectlu for OLFOF. Some people wouldn't exactly like the type of music, but it works so perfectly. Go download off of Napster if oyu get a chance!!! Deftones- Headup

Coasters- a little slice of heaven
I like Metallica so bear with me

Millennium Force - One - Because MF is the ONLY one

Magnum - Fuel - Magnum fueled the roller coaster fire at Cedar Point

Raptor - Fight fire with Fire - It's a fast, intense song in the middle

Mantis - Battery - intense the whole ride for an intense song

Disaster Transport - Die, die, die (my darling) - hehehe

Mean Streak - ACDC - You shook me all night long

Power Tower - Limp bizkit - Take a look Around - if you are on the down side, you really should look around.

More to come.

I think they should play Limp Bizket's "Break Stuff" for Viper at SFGAdv. (-:
