Multiple Computers?

If I buy No Limits at my mom's house and want to use it at my dad's house, how does that work? Do I have to buy it twice?

All you really have to do is burn the program onto a CD and install it on the other computer (or e-mail it to the other computer, which ever is easier)

Then take the registration number you got originally and input it into the other computer as well after you install it and it asks for it. 'No Limits' will work just fine.

OK, good. I hope the e-mailing thing works. I really don't want to pay $50 just to get this sim on two computers. I couldn't get it until now because I just saw that you can buy it by phone now. My dad was nervous about using his card online.

Yeah, this is a grey area in software licensing. I haven't read the "No Limits" agreement, but there are two schools of thought when it comes to purchasing software:

1. You can install it on one computer, period, end of story.

2. You can install it in multiple locations, so long as it's GUARANTEED to only be IN USE at one location.

Some licenses actually spell out one or the other, but some don't.

At least you're not proposing outright piracy, which is illegal no matter how you slice it :)

No, I don't want to do anything illegal. I just don't want to have to pay $50 just to have it at both their houses. Like w/ RCT, I bring the disc over to my mom's house everytime. That's what I mean.

I've a P3 800Mhz, 128Mb w. Geforce 256 & my parents bought a P4 1.5Ghz, 256Mb w. Geforce 2 MX for their work & I wanted to see if NL ran any better on it. Burnt it onto CD & installed it on their PC with the original reg. code. Now can run it on both w/o the CD. NL runs a little bit better on the newer machine, not really noticeable at the most.
Well, I just ran Kumba on the demo for a little while on my P2 350Mhz (stop laughing:() and avg.'d about 22 fps. Is that good for my computer?

That brings up a question for me. I'm living in a dorm at OU and I downloaded the Demo of NL on this computer. It's perfectly smooth and fine. This system is about a 750Mhz. Not sure about the graphics card... but it's older than a Gateway my friend uses. He has the 1.2 Ghz with the big graphics card. I believe Geforce. Yet it runs much slower on his than mine. Any thoughts? very confusing to me.

I would say just burn it to a disc and install it on one computer, take it to the other one, install it there and just make sure that neither one is running at the same or you can uninstall one of them if you want to stay legal ;). It’s not morally illegal unless you cheat the company and if you pay your $20 you should be able to play it on whatever computer you want. Just make sure no one uses it while your not looking ;).
