MuffleHeads finally arrived at CP...WHAM!!

Just wanted to let any enthusiast know (those that are going to CP in the next few days), that the Muffleheads are out in FULL force now.

This year (as a few of you already know) they have come out MUCH later due to the VERY cold weather Ohio has had in the last month (compared to the norm). I took a few good poundings yesterday and my wife had a some tasty appetizers while forgetting not to yell while going down through the valleys on MF. Yummm. Some lady actually had one REALLY big one stuck to her right eye when she got off and was freaking (talk about a funny thing to watch).

Oh, and if anyone wants to see some up close, just check out CP's webcams...and you thought the spiders were bad!

Heh...even though I've got my new bi-focal contacts, I think I may wear my glasses anyway tomorrow. I remember a couple of them splatting against my glasses last year.

My friends and I stayed at Lighthouse Point last Friday during Coastermania and they were THICK! Somehow a bunch of them got into our cabin after ERT that night It was horror! I didn't see too many of them during the day.

The more we tried to get rid of them the more of them came in. Needless to say the five of us ended up crashing in the back bedroom with the door SHUT! It was almost too funny. The next morning I walk to the front of the cabin and most of them had died. It felt like a bad b-rated horror flick

How long do the muffleheads usually last? I'm going to be at CP in about 2 weeks.
All summer...

The bulk of them will die off in two weeks (that's their lifespan), however there will be Muffleheads on the Point for the remainder of the year, just not in the swarms that arrive during these two weeks.

Scooby Doo and The Haunted Castle...MUCH more fun when you have ride partners!!!

Yea, but I got hit with a few in August and July, so there sometimes is a good majority of them left...er that reproduce.

I kept on having Problems with Muffle Heads at CP around Coastermainia, mostly with them swarming when I get into my car. On my way back from CP while going down I-70 in IN, It seem like it was raining bugs the way they kept on pounding into the windshield. I'm not to sure those were muffleheads or not but I have seen these little burgers in my neck of the woods in Kansas City.

If you have a problem with my grammer. Take a red marker and mark where the errors are on the screen.

Sounds like I won't be too bothered. I'm usually at CP in late June and don't even notice them. But, I grew up in New Orleans. If you can survive "Love Bugs" and salt marsh mosquitos, you can deal with almost any insects.
You know its interesting but I went to CP in June 2 years ago and encounted no muffleheads(It was around Mid June) Looks like I got lucky

Also they are still around at near the end of the season, I'm going back to CP in October so just wondering???

Nah. In October, it's too cold for the little buggers.

They should be pretty much finished by time September comes around.

Comparitively speaking they were not bad at all this weekend.

This is exactly why I always wear sunglasses on coasters. Your eyes are nothing to mess with.
