Msn's Top Ten Parks

What were they thinking? I can understand Cp,and BGT, but why Knott's Camp Snoopy, and Six Flags Astroworld ?Remember they're supposed to be the best parks overall astroworld is run down and lacks themeing. Why wasn't BGW in there?

heres the link http://local.msn.com/special/amusementparks.asp

PCar made it, but PKI didn't....'nuff said.....
Well, it is MSN, meaning that they probably based their selections on which rollercoasters and parks have the slowest speed, least reliable service, and longest wait time.

Hey, leave Astroworld alone... "It's got the fourth largest collection of coasters in the world, including the Serial Thriller". Wow, Serial Thriller, a Vekoma SLC, so have about 30 other parks.

They could at least have chosen a good ride like... errh, (actually Texas Cyclone is pretty cool)

Coaster Grotto - Save your Top 20 Coasters and Track Record Online!

Obviously this was selected to be some sort of cross section, not a real best list. Also, it was not very well researched. Astroworld is actually in a 4 way tie for 7th place in number of coasters by my quick count. It does have the 4th largest collection of coasters at a SF park.

This is the worst selection ever. hahahahahahahhahahaahahhahahahahaahah

Are you people actually shocked at a list like this? Come on - time to speed up.

This list is meant to be read by suburban soccer moms, and the mindless dolts who married them. This list is aimed at people who actually think "Friends" is a great Tv show, people who just love eating at Olive Garden, people who dont think critically about much- ie- the masses.

People who actually read the MSN page!!

Hey, I like Olive Garden ;) (On occasion, when travelling -- at least one knows what to expect...)

Careful, Cricket. There are soccer moms (and coaches and dads) on this site who are great coaster enthusiasts. It's never wise to make generalizations like that.

LMAO!!! Cricket you are nuts! ;)

"Escuse me, can you tell me where the heck the Mystery Lodge is"?

Of all the rollercoasters that SFAW has why did they decide to take a picture of the rotten beast of a coaster B:TE?

I mean the structure to this ride is rusting away why wasn't there a picture of Texas Cyclone,
or Texas Tornado?

Sheesh.

Yes, that is a very strange list. But at the same time it is also refreshing to see a slightly different list than we always see. If that would have happened, we would all be complaining about that too.

But MSN still sucks

looking at the list, it seems they tried hard to spread out the selections from across the country....also, they didn't list Hershey, so there's *points off* for that....and what about the ORIGINAL theme park, that one in Southern indiana!
They must have gotten paid to list some of those parks.

Heaven forbid people think something different then what an enthusiasts does.

All I need is 4.5 million bucks and a half a mile long sliver of land and maybe someone could build me my very own Shivering Timbers. ;)

Astroworld over Magic Mountain? That's some cracked out shiznit if you ask me. I know just about everybody on cedarbuzz hates Magic Mountain, but it really has some of the best coasters on the planet. Don't freak out people, I'm not saying it's better than CP. I don't need you guys to put a hit out on me.

Coasters and Chronic
What a Combo!

I am more than a bit curious as to how this list was concocted. Lets forget for a moment that Magic Mountain, like Cedar Point, has 15 coasters including 6 that are currently or were world record breakers. What about Great Adventures, Great America, or Over Texas?? Furthermore, those parks have MORE coasters than AstroWorld. I did a lil research, and some of you folks can also. Go to roller coaster database and do a coaster count. If I am correct, AstroWorld, has the SIXTH largest collection of coasters, not the fourth largest. My concern, just WHO from MSN is responsible for this list ??

Let's all get in an uproar because your favorite park did not make this list. The world is ended cause park A or park B are not on this list and just why did park C and D make it. Blah Blah Blah!

If you would have checked the link that PT300 posted near the top of this thread than ( http://www.coasterbuzz.com/forums/thread.asp?ForumID=11&TopicID=22837 ) then you would have already known that back in JULY there was a thread on this very same subject.

Let see if we can calm down and move on to something that is worth talking about.
