Hey Rob, what's up with all the parks closing in Japan? How about the top 10 reasons? ;)

Reason #10. Most guests not tall enough to ride coasters.

Slowmotion is right..... NOT! Funny, though. ;)

Mooshie has that one nailed. The economy was faltering in late '97, and still hasn't recovered. My trip in '98 was the last one for Portopialand, and Takarazuka. I walked right by T-land in 2001, but didn't go because... well... I'd been before. Now I regret not getting one more shot in. It suxors!

The yen goes up and down, but hasn't stablized at all, and it could be awhile sadly. It seems that the Japanese economy has pretty much bottomed out, though. I'd say early 2000 for that. Still, there are an awful lot of unemployed (not yet committed Harakiri :() men, who walk to parks and hang out all day, just because they can't break the bad news to their families.

The Flying Turns makes all the right people wet - Gonch

The article would have to be a few years old also, as one of the park names isin't even right now. Knott's Camp Snoopy isin't Knott's any more :)
Question about Kobe Portopialand. How were the coasters there? The bobsled looked fun and the Schwarzkopf (or Zierer?) looks great.
