MSN/ City Guides Strike Again

A few days ago, msn.com-- everyone's favorite provider of top ten lists had one called "America's Top Ten Family Destinations." I was pleasantly surprised to see Hersheypark included in the list (#3, but that was alphabetically).

My pleasure soon evaporated when I went to read the reader reviews. The one I had written around six weeks ago was nowhere to be found. In fact, the most recent review was from August 2003. Hmmm, OK.

Then I went on to read the "editor's" review. While the review was overwhelmingly positive-- it all went to hell when I read the line about Hershey's "newest coaster:" Great Bear. Great Bear? Umm, only 7 years and 3 coasters off.

Whatever else was there, I don't know. I clicked out immediately. For anyone who ever reads those things, keep an eye out. They resurface from time to time-- for years, obviously. So much for the information superhighway. MSN must have borrowed a buggy from an Amishman.

There are few things as valueless as MSN city guides. Just check to see how often MacDonalds is listed as having one of the best hamburgers in town.
Hey man, I work at "MacDonald's" ;)

I've often wondered from time to time, how to write good poetry- and make it all... Work.
