Mr. Six's Pandemonium Last piece was added

According to the Six Flags construction photos, they completed the circuit on March 17th. According to their timeline, it went vertical on March 4th, so we're looking at 14 days. Is that a record?

It looks great. *** Edited 3/22/2005 5:36:27 PM UTC by SFGAdv lover***

I was thinking the same thing. Holy Crap that's pretty fast on their part to finish the ride that quickly. I really wish a few more of these would pop up next season. Looks kinda promising.

Maybe, but the trenches and surrounding areas will certainly make for a much different experience. Plus, only the well traveled New England-ers among us have had a chance to ride a spinning coaster.

OzCatter: Speak for WoF's model...KCS-MOA's has broken in quite nicely. It's noticeably faster from the second MCBR to the final brake. Frankly, it would be a good ride with a forward-facing car.

Of course, their model's been operating for a year indoors; your mileage may vary.

NOTE: Severe fecal impaction may render the above words highly debatable.

I've yet to ride a Gerstlauer spinner; anyone ridden one and a Maurer Sohne to compare?

I rode Whirlwind @ Seabreeze. The Maurer Sohne's are pretty sweet, I love the curved drop, sitting reversed and going throughit is a great feeling. I must say the overbanked turn it quite fun too especially if you get a good spin off the car. I must say these Gerstlauer look pretty sweet cause the track layout its stretched out and not compacted. Imo though I would of liked to see the seats facing outward. I think inward seems kind of dumb to me. I just don't know if im a fan of the lime green/orange mix.

I prefer Maurer Sohne [pronounced "Mowrer Sunner"] for the soul reason that their coasters are smoother, generally more intense, and just more fun. I like the idea of Pandemonium's "party" atmosphere, but Maurer's stuff is just...better. Take Winjas, for example. Terrific stuff!

Also, why would anyone want to ride a coaster named after an invalid old man? *** Edited 3/22/2005 10:44:27 PM UTC by -Calvin-***

Calvin - Invalid? When was the last time you saw an invalid old man dance like that? Besides SF's "Mr Six" ad campaign was one of the most successful of last year.
