Mr. Markey was just on TV

I just saw Ed on my local Fox station. It's so stupid that this was the only thing the station could think of. Anyway the news lady said something about 20 deaths on amusement rides in like 20 years and they were making it sound like that was some outrageously high number. They also failed to metion how many of those deaths were at traveling carnivals and how many were caused by rider error. Also, the brain damage story was bought up. Just thought I would tell everyone.

I wish this guy would just give up. At this point no one listens to him but yet he still keeps going. Some people just want attention a little too much. And look at all the other issues that he could be dealing with that ,unlike his stupid little war against amusment parks, effect people(like wellfare,Medicare,etc.).

The problem is people are buying into what he says. When Fox did a story around here about it all my relatives (who know im an Enthusiast) were asking and telling me about the story. I had to assure them all that coasters were safe.

There's a lady I work with that bought into that. Yet, she's only been on one coaster in her life which was 32 years ago. She said to me... Oh the forces and the brain injuries! I about fell out fo my chair! She is however, a Democrat, so she'll beleive anything Markey puts out.

More likely she's afraid of coasters and looking for a excuse for her fear.

Phydeux, which coasters out there are unsafe? Can you answer that? Can you also tell me how many accidents are the fault of the riders?

I totally agree. At first I felt so strongly opposed to Markey that this case, and its illegitimacies, that it was all i thought about. Now, after a few months, i've already started to lose interest in it. If someone like me is forgetting about this issue, then you can rest assured that the general public will eventually follow suit. Get off Capitol Hill Markey and take your bull sh*t legislation with you.
