Mr. Freeze Open!

Nice. We're open through December and we can't even get the materials to finish one train, but SFStL is open for 3 more weeks and may have 2 train operation.

Gr.

I have a feeling it's a bugetary thing at SFoT. As in, let's save money by not opening the ride until next season.

St. Louis deserves this since we dont have that many coasters to begin with, SFOT can manage with one coaster down, but in St. Louis we have not have been as fortunate as other Six Flag parks to get anohter coaster. Im sure Six Flags saved a lot of money with both of them down almost all year.

Well at least you have a Theme Park.

All we have in Phoenix is 2 coasters in one tiny park.

Shame that, GAdv never really seemed to get Chilla running "to specs"...but without Chilla, that leaves Freeze as the undisputed king of shuttle coasters... ;)

The SFoT Freeze problem WAS due to footers...

Hey JPS,at least you're getting a spinner at SF:STL next season, which is far more than some of us are getting so I wouldn't say that Freeze being down for the rest of the season is a total loss.
Has the spinner been confirmed? I will be surprised if they give it to us. I just diddnt like how Six Flags was operating there buisness by giving only certain paarks good rides and many smaller SF parks nothing compared to what larger ones got. What got me really mad was SFGadv getting 2 coasters in 2 years and other SF parks not getting a new coaster in over 5 years. They should spread out the love. Any SF park is lucky now to get a coaster.
The spinner has not been confirmed, or atleast to my knowledge it hasn't, but I read an article that said that footers were being set for the ride, but it never said what kind of ride.

Last I heard we were still waiting on parts, but the ride would have shut down at the end of fright fest anyways, so.

We generally speak English on this site.

where did you hear that footers were being set up for the new ride next year? its been quiet for about a month now.
I read that in a news article somewhere, but I can't find the article.

Mr. Freeze was running both sides on saturday. Sweet short lines. Didn't see markings or anything else for spinner. No constuction or deconstruction that we could see.

Damn Cornfields

well i did read awhile back that it only takes about 3 months to build this sort of coaster, unless theres a different ride coming instead...

Dont you worry its coming.

oh okay then. do you know if the sherwoods theater will be completely torn down or will they build around it? also, is there any theming to the new ride and is it the same layout similar to mr. six's pandemonium at sfne?
The entire Sherwood Forest Theater at SFSL will be removed, along with some of the games nearby and Hood's Goods (shop).

The ride is a Gerstlauer Spinning Coaster similar, but not identical to the other 3 that are already built (SFFT is getting the exact same thing).

so i guess that means that the sherwoods theater is being moved to another area of the park? or i guess they are just going to get rid of it?
It will be leveled.

Last night (Fri. Oct. 20th) Mr. Freeze ran good only closing one time that I know of. It ran both sides and the line was not long at all starting where the line splits.
