Mr. Freeze @ SF over Texas

Does anyone know if the Mr. Freeze there, the train has been changed from the OTSR's to the new lap bars???

Yes, all premieres I believe except for Speed The Ride have lap bars, now, and if thats not true, I know at least Freeze, and the spegetti bowl style ones do

I'm sure that it is in the process of being changed over, but as of my visit today it is not yet open.

I don't think Space Mountain, Rock'n'Roller Coaster, and Runaway Mountain have lap bars unless you know something I don't know ;)

Space Mountain ( DLP i presume), and Rock'n Roller coasters are both Vekoma coasters, Rock N' Roller coaster is accually a spegetti bowl coaster! It's just Vekoma's version.

It's changed over and expected to open in April or May.

Space Mountian at Disneyland Paris has not been changed. I was there last month, and as scary as it sounds being a Vekoma, it was a pretty smooth ride! Now, the one ride that I'd like to see with lapbars (atleast at DLP), is Indiana Jones: Temple of Peril. Although its a great ride, it does have some headbanging. Also needs some pads on the seats!

I agree with you on both accounts. I think it's the seats on Space Mt. with the extra cushy padding that make the ride much more, well, ridable. (Of course the amazing theming doesn't hurt to distract you from it). If only boomerangs had those seats, instead of the hard plastic ones!

Also, Indiana Jones is a particularly rough ride, and i don't see why it needs OTSR's. Superman/MF style lapbars would seem to do fine. But I think the main problem with that is that they don't want you to look back - a) to make it seem more thrilling, and b) because you might get really knocked around like on Premiers, as people have already mentioned. (For those unfamiliar, DLP's Indy is alot different than DL in Cali - it's an Intamin looper that goes backwards!) Just some thoughts - great rides, though.

Do you think that it will be open by this Sunday???

Well that sux, I guess I'll cross Freeze of over my spring break in Texas. I think this just really sux! I think they should open it now!
