Movies playing in coaster lines?

I was at PGA the other day waiting for Top Gun and throughout the line there were many TV's playing a movie. They also had Survivor episodes playing in line for Survivor the Ride. I have only seen this at PGA. Is this done anywhere besides the Paramount Parks?

One more question, why in anyone's right mind was the movie "Mean Girls" playing in line for Top Gun, right above the war theming??

The Six Flags Parks play Warner Bros Cartoons in the Lines for their more popular rides.

not SFKK! we only have ads for the National Guard in our lines
The most typical videos playing in ride lines at SF parks, as far as I have noticed, has been music videos, of bands that I show no real interest in. They are usually some sort of pop punk band. (I.E. - New Found Glory, Yellowcard, etc. etc.)

I remember back in 1996, in line for Nightmare @ Phantom Cave in Darien Lake, they had numerous televisions broadcasting the promo for the ride that got you pumped up to ride it (it also helped pass the 2hr wait time)...

...towards the end of the season & at night-time, they started playing full feature-length movies such as Jurassic Park, and soon scrapped the cheesy promo altogether (really bad acting).

Pki plays clips from several diferant paramount movies while you are in line. And who can forget the dancing cats :)

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Back in the day, they used to play alternative music in the line for the Beast. At night, it was a serious party atmosphere, with everyone singing along to the music. Every train full of people would come in screaming like mad, and everyone in line would scream along with them.

And then when your train pulled away from the station into the silence, you knew you were in for the best coaster experience of your life.

It was insane. Never felt that much excitement in a coaster line before, and probably never will again.

Pumped you up for the worst ride in the park. The only thing that made it somewhat decent was the fact that it was pitch black and you couldn't see anything.

i remember those nights with the beast i had one like that with the son of beast too! its also sweet where the ride attendants joing in to and ask if your ready and how was your ride good times good times very rare now
The Hulk at IOA has a pretty good video playing throughout the queue. There may even be two (one for the first half of the queue, another for the second), but I can't remember for sure. Regardless, the video's great because it's interesting and well done and basically explains the backstory of the ride in no uncertain terms, which adds a lot to the ride experience I think. It's also quite long which is nice because so is the Hulk's typical queue.

When BGA's Congo River Rapids opened in 1982 they had loudspeakers blaring the theme from "Day the Earth stood still" throughout the ride. The last time I rode this (May, 2005 there was no music playing at all.
At PCW they play music video's or promote the park food/other rides.
lol, I guess they're always on a Scifi kick at CRR.
