Movie Footage

I was at my friends house tonight, and we found some old coaster footage that his dad had taken. It showed a lot from Cedar Point, WDW, and BGT. The CP footage was from 1977 and the other from 1981 I beleive. The CP footage showed a lot of Corkscrew, onrides of Blue Streak, and CCMR and the old log flume ride. It Also showed footage of the Jumbo Jets and the Wildcat when it was blue and red and the Skywheel, also Space Spiral, and the sky ride and a lot of other defunct rides. The footage was really good too. Me and my friend are planning to get the film digitalized and put online somewhere. The film was 8 or 16mm and in really good condition. I was just wondering

A. What would something like this cost to get CD-Rom or VHS and

B. Where where I could get this done at.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and if I ever do get it online, Ill put the link up. Thanks

Your local camera/film developing experts (NOT WalMart, KMart, etc.) should be able to help you out or at least steer you to someone in your area that can.

On a personal note, I would love to see that footage!

If yo uwanted the very cheap man's way to get the footage on video is to project he film on a VERY SMALL scetion of wall and videotape it. You will receive some flicker, but its one way to get it done.

Yay!!, it can be done!!! I've never seen so many bell bottoms in my life besides that video... ;)
You have some pretty valuable footage. When you're done you could probably publish it as, "The History of Cedar Point: The Home Movie".
