yep, there was some guy standing on a platform in front of Viper's first turn-around. He was singing while there was a bunch of people around him. Was that the 25th anneversery season?

Oh heck. Lets go back even farther when Marriott owned it.

Their jingle went sort of like this.

Wow, Chi! I cannot go back that far. The earliest ad I remember is from back in 1990 when they came out with Iron Wolf. It was a little girl singing in a 'playing jump rope' type voice:

UHH OHH!

It amazes me how clearly I can remember that. BTW: I think it was a radio only ad (that was when I was heavy into "The Killer B": B-96 :))

the commercial didnt mention that the eagle is running backward but if you got the season pass pamphlet it says " ride the red side for traditional screams and thrills or the blue side facing backwards for an all new experience" so i think its pretty official.

Actually, in the "Let's go Six Flags" jingle, I believe one of the lines was "And get ready for the drop." I believe that was the year they opened the Giant Drop.

Also, was/is Duran Duran's song "Hungry like the Wolf" ever connected with Iron Wolf? I think that would be a great song to play in IW's queue and station.

If they started playing that song in IW's queue, that would guarantee that I would not ride it again...Some groups and songs are best left in the decade they were created.

It's a matter of personal taste, I guess: I happen to like that song. Oh well, I can (and will) still have that song in my head when I ride IW this year!

Alright. The marketing is getting better because I finally saw the commercial just before Smackdown started on UPN(around 7:00P.M.).

Great commercial and definitely not like any other SF commercial in the past. Very unique for just the Chicago park.
