Mother's Day Trip Report at Hersheypark

Associated parks:
None

Well we started at 6 am to get to the park at 10, it was supposed to rain all day, but for whatever reason, it never happened. (although my area got hit hard by storms while I was gone) We got to the park at about 10 and there was no one there, I guess most people were scared off by the weather report. We first went to Chocolate World and went on the Chocolate Tour. The smell of chocolate is really strong on this ride. After that I turned on my camcorder and went for the main gate and immediately went to ride Comet.
8/10 Comet
This ride was really good, airtime on basically every hill and the wait, like it was all day throughout the park was a walk on.

Next we rode SooperDooperLooper. 7/10 This coaster is alot of fun, you can tell its getting older, but still alot of fun. We then got some shots of the rides and headed for Great Bear.

7/10 Great Bear It was fun, even thought it doesn't pack the punch the most B&M's offer but for space wise they fit it in perfectly.

We then went over to to ride the Trialblazer. 5/10 Its just fun, nothing special. We then feed the fish in the pond by the Trailblazer, the fish in this small pond are really big. Then we went to ride the Sidewinder, but it was closed, (it would be the only ride that was closed all day) So a little bit of a disapointment but we went to ride Wildcat.

7/10 Wildcat
This is a really good ride, and I only take points off cause I hurt my thigh on this ride, but it still pretty fun and so twisted.

We then went to ride Lightning Racer 9.5/10 I never got to ride in the front and since both lines were short I decided to and the front is the best seat cause you can actually see the near misses and tell if you've won at the end. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 was that the waterfall tunnel was not working. But an icredibly smooth ride and definatly my fav. Wooden Coaster.

We headed for Roller Soaker and it was really cool to see. The water guns are fun to play with and most of the time you get the people working the guns wet, rather than the cars. We got in line ang got wet before we even rode thanks to some people dropping the water on us. We got to the front when the ride broke down. So we decided to meet back wtih my mom at the Hershey Kisses Tower. We rode it got a greeat view of the park and we rode some rides with my lil brother. After going back on LR we saw some guys working on the brakes on the ride and soon saw the cars running again, so we headed back. We took off our shoes and got on. This ride is really cool, the floor drops as the tanks are filled and you head up the lifhill which you climb fast and litterly fly right into a wall of water. You fly over CRR and if you want you could pull the lever and get the people on that ride wet. You then run thorugh the course water water explosions, water guns and the ground and other stuff will leave you drenched and I mean, not a dry spot on you. There were some people who didn't pull the lever during the ride so they pulled it in the station and got some people in line wet. This is a great ride and the only thing I didn't like was the slow capacity and it being a little short. But a great ride I would give it a 9/10.

The rest of the day we rode some more stuff and had alot of fun, we started to leave at about 5 when it started to rain, we went to the gift shop to get some candy for the road and some souveniers. I had a great time their and it was so much fun, and the weather held up so that was good. On thing I did notice while we were leaving, it looks like there building a new Arena, well its almost done, I'm just not sure if its replacing the one they have now.

The arena is for the Hershey Bears Hockey Team, I believe.

I *think*, someone correct me if I'm wrong, that The Arena coming down is the one Wilt The Stilt scored 100 points in...granted, the stories about that game vary more than opinions on the 'buzz, but 100...WOW!
