most coasters i can think of with a loop have them going off to the right, is there any reason for this?

Wow, I never thought of that, but every loop that I can think of at the moment follows that same pattern... I wonder if there is any reasoning behind this or if that is just the way it goes...

If they always go to the "right" then wouldn't the other direction be wrong? ;)

well done jive, i was waiting for someone to say that!

the only exceptions i can think of at the moment are intamin megaloopers like colossus at thorpe park and monte makaya. something to do with train design perhaps?

I don't pay attention to such details, but that is very interesting, especially if there is some technical or other reason they are like that.

I've been waiting to use that one for years.

I don't think the direction of the loop has anything to do with anything. If I remember correctly (and I usually don't) the Orient Express has a loop that goes to the left. The fact that "left" loops are an option on RCT also tells me that the direction means nothing.

Shockwave at SFoT has two in a row, one right and one left.

Here's a really perplexing one,has anyone ever noticed that on a standard boomerang shuttle coaster the vertical loop is going to the left while on the invertigo the loop goes to the right?

Since both rides were designed by the same company I often wonder why they chose that configuration for one and not the other.

what puzzles me is why on the GIBs they decided to have the loop going over the station?!

Both loops on the Double Loop go to the left, as does X-Flight and Batman.

Sidewinder @ SFEG goes to the left, but then when you go backwards you go to the right.....confusing.
