I just thought of some more memorable moments!
TV:
Anyone remember Wild and Crazy Kids on Nickeloneon?(sp?) Remember when they had the contest to see who would have the most water in their glass after riding Colossus? Total classic moment! bet you anything that if that was done today, everyone would have a full glass with Colossus running the way it does now lol!!! BR>BR>Seeing those people who broke the record for the most rides in 24 hours last year getting booed at Paramounts Great America and SFMW.
Movies:
Does anyone remember a movie called Thrill that came on NBC around the mid 90's? Someone who looks like the guy from the Adventures of Superman (the TV show that was on ABC in the 90's) stared in the movie. Anyways it was shot at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk and Big Dipper was the coaster featured in the movie. The movie was about someone trying to blow up the park or trying to shut the park down or something like that, but anyways the coaster sceans are memorable to me because that coaster is awesome!!

Somehow, one of their co-workers flipped the power on to the park, causing the wheel to turn and light up. The enemy, in the ocean, saw the park, fired at the Ferris Wheel, causing the wheel to break off its support beam, roll down the boardwalk (still lit mind you) and roll into the ocean.
I cried and cried. That was two years ago when I saw it.

For TV, I've still always liked the Step by Step opening even though the big cheese factor is there.
I did want to say that the Touchtone(Disney's not quite completely family friendly film department) film, Bubble Boy, featured a small scene in Vegas where we see Manhattan Express and NYNY pretty close up. I don't care to voice my opinions on the film. From what I've heard, feelings on the movie and the coaster go hand in hand.
I also just saw the movie Bully, which just came out to rent this week and showed a wooden coaster being built at the beginning. I'm not sure what the setting was, but the coaster looked like a CCI to me. The movie was along the lines of RfaD in the dramatic use of material and themes, and if you've ever seen the director's other movie, Kids, you know to expect some almost unbearable sequences. Stars Brad Renfro and Nick Stahl. It's very good, but still for those over 18.
