Most Intense Loop

Scorpion's loop at Busch. Although Zonga packs quite a large punch. Too bad Schwartzkoph's designs aren't built today. That would be insane. Also, the traveling invert in Europe (the name is escaping me right now... something Star... sorry). I swear those track parts were at least an inch or two off line.

Oh, and Bullet at Flamingo Land is pretty is up there. *** Edited 6/14/2004 4:12:52 AM UTC by coasterMNguy...***

/\It's EuroStar:)

For me, so far, its been Batwing and BORG Assimilator.

1) Schwarzkopf's loops. Closer to a true circle gives hight G's in and out.
2) First loop on Batman the Ride. Many have reported graying on these.
3) Vekoma flyers. Not intense in the normal high G manner, but that dropping feeling with nothing under you at the top is intense.
Thanks. I don't know why I couldn't remember that.
Son of Beast's loop by far!

Yeah, it pretty much feels like a car crash - it's not only the loop though, the entire ride rocks pretty hard (unfortunately, in an entirely bad sense).

The loop itself is rather "teardroppy" and large - probably less intense than the tinier and rounder B&M BTR counterpart.

Eurostar was in rehab last winter, but reports claim that nothing has changed about it's roughness. Such a pitty! It's a portable ride that rivals the Batman clones - the double corkscrew toward the end is a one-of a kind design with it's changing radial velociry and nothing like the comparable corkscrews of the Vekoma SLCs.
The overall track layout is just a stroke of genius, but alas!, it's a pure pain to ride nevertheless.
Olympia Looping is rather smooth in comparison, although it gave me a good jolt the last time I rode it on the turnaround between the first and second loop.

The question is also what kind of intense do we mean here?
For my personal taste, I get most emotion out of the smooth and floaty loops on Riddlers Revenge - for me the most intense feeling.
Just plain fun and flying.
Of course, concerning G-forces, speed and other physical properties (apart maybe from height) they are intense by no standard.
Some people complain that they are boring, but I just can't get enough of them. *** Edited 6/15/2004 10:05:05 AM UTC by superman***

Anything on Iron Wolf hurts bad...but the most intense loop was definitely SUF Pretzel Loop, it felt like my brain was going right thru my shoes.
While not technically a loop, the first inversion of Hulk at USF is pretty intense, particularly after that launch.
I think the Pinfari Looping Zyklons are really intense, especially in the third car. The loops are small and tight so it's over very quickly, but the intensity is noticeable, albeit short.

The one at Drayton Manor was pretty violent through the loop.

I also like the intensity of the second loop on Shock Wave at SFOT. Actually I suppose the first is equally intense, perhaps even more so, but you really feel it on the second.

Has anybody mentioned Alpie's vertical loop? Ride in the back seat, you are abosolutely YANKED down the back end of that thing. Physical, violent, and heavenly. *thumbs up*
SOB's loop is ok, kinda tame when compared to the rest of the ride. I would also say that Alpengeist's vertical has some force. When we say intense, are we talking pain or force?? Anton machines are pretty intense, but have we forgotten about the deceased Drachen Fire??? I took a ride or two.....Ow

I know many of you might not agree but I say Mantis

I totally agree with you too. I don't really like Mantis much because it hurts my leg and hurts the boys in between them. :)

"Coasters are life"- Userx
I have to say that the most intense loop is on Manhattan Express. some guy died from intercarnial bleeding
Le Vampire loop at La Ronde....

Vive La Ronde!
Mindbender in Edmonton

Does Goliath at SFMM count? :P

If the inclined loops count, so should big G's "really inclined" loop, right? ;)

Andy...not as much as Knoebels Twister's, or Papa Beast's, or SFoG Mindbender's "third loop"...

Sonny's vertical loop *is* intense AND fun, his "horizontal loops" are just TOO intense...not enough banking AND poor trains....

I still don't know where the "second loop" is ;) but do the trims before the third loop ever open up? When I rode, it seemed like they were biting pretty hard and the loop was still one of the most intense...

Did you all forget about Steel Phantom, everything after the second hill was intense. *** Edited 6/21/2004 5:36:05 PM UTC by Bert123***

LOL, got me there....the "hard to find" loop IS in fact the SECOND one...:) If the train was running on the SIDE of those rails instead of on TOP, it probably would be pretty similar to a Beemer inclined loop....'cept, in Anton style, WAY more intense...love me some Mindbender...:)

The brakes, I have caught when they were "tapping" the train, and the airtime is IMMENSE if infrequent...Anton is STILL the only designer that gives me "ejector air" combined with inversions...25 years later, and no one else seems capable of duplicating The Master.
