most expensive coaster?

Something said by someone of importance at PKI.

"We could have had 5 CCI's for what we got in SOB"

Chuck, who knows the ride is several million over budget and last he heard it was nearing Millies price

P.S. I still like SOB, LOL..

Kind of unfair to compare SD2K or GR with other "normal" coasters NOT built *on shaky ground*, isn't it? I mean, Millie and SD2K likely would have had a similar price tag....except for the earthquake-proofing...GR, massive as it is, probably would have run *about* 10M if built somewhere else, even with "Denise's Deep Discounts"...;)

I would have rather had 5 CCI's.

Fix the damn trains and it wouldnt matter so much. Why in the world they have three bench trains on a coaster like that is beyond me.

Ode to the offseason:
Offseason Offseason what shall I do? Who cares the sun is still shining the sky is still blue! GET A LIFE!

Just out of curiousity, how much do the designers make for creating these monsters?!
Did Alpengiest really cost $20,000,000?
How much are the LSM's on STE?

Why would Steel Dragon 2000 cost so much?

It was extremely overbuilt structure wise due to earthquake issues.

Ghostrider is probably one of the two most expensive wooden coasters built in recent history. Yes, it has considerably more lumber in it than comperable coasters. This is because it had to meet all Orange county building codes for earthquake resistence. I think it has three times the number of bents ordinarily required. Quality lumber is expensive, as is the labor to put it up.
I like woodies. Considerably less expensive and more fun. question, how much would a coaster like vertical velocity cost?

About 9 Million. Well worth it if you ask me.
