Most 'braked' coaster??

what is so bad about the brakes on the first drop of mantis anyway. I have riden Mantis before and after the brake and I like the brake more when it was added than when it was not on the coaster. The coaster was not that much faster without the brake than when the brake was added. I like the drop with the brake because it slows down the speed of the car, so when it goes through the frist loop it basically hangs on the top of the loop like the car is just going to stay in the loop forever, then it slowly and surely falls back down and goes through the rest of the fantastic standup ride. I love Mantis more with the brake than when there was no brake. The brake makes the coasters seem to just hang in the loop and that was an awesome experience.

Texas Giant's midcourse's this year have been braking it to a complete stop. It ruins that steep drop after them. I think that is the best part of the ride and you get completely out of your seat. TG has a lot of airtime for a twister i think. And all coasters are not about AIR BL, Titan and Goliath are about positive G's and that is what is good about them because most Hypers do not have the crazy G's these coaster's do.

TITAN opens the 26th and I will sprint for it on the 29th. ROCK ON TITAN.
The Blue Train on the American Eagle BARELY makes it up to get to the helix. I am VERY surprised there hasn't been any rollbacks..... why do they add brakes anyways??

Brakes are added for various reasons. Some of the responses I've gotten were:

''To maintain the ride's structural integrity''- [Hersheypark spokesperson]

''To make our guest's experience more enjoyable.'' [Several B&M coasters...]

So on and so fourth...there is always a reason!

I am shocked no one said psyclone at sfmm. Personally i love the coaster, but i hear people complain about it so much i thought it would make the list . Sometimes when i even come off the coaster hearing people talking about how their sides and back ache
Revolution suffers bad from overbraking. It seems like it brakes after every drop. To me, that's too many.
The Texas Giant, like Mean Streak, has trims going down the first drop which are terribly distracting. Despite this, the second half of the ride is still great, but the coaster would be much better with a good drop.

"Mean Streak is not that bad.

who you kidding? yes it is ! i rather ride the corkscrew before mean streak !

Coasters in the dark, like Outer Limits and Rocking Roller Coaster at Disney have over 3 or more brake runs(RR has 3) plus trims. It really doesn't harm the ride because you don't notice it.
I find it really disturbing that SFMM is the brunt of most of these posts, and I agree with all of them, especially The Great American Revolution and Collosus. Who gives a rat*****about the most coasters in a park if most of em suck?! They need to take a hint on this one...they could have one of the BEST collections as well as most if they only knew how to take care of their rides.
