Morgan meets Arrow on Kennywood's Phantom

Posted | Contributed by cernelli

Track is being transported from the Kennywood parking lot and into the park by a flatbed truck. The second drop, one of the hardest parts of Phantom's Revenge's construction, is beginning to take shape as new track is added onto the existing Arrow track.

That is great news. I hope the construction process moves along very rapidly now after the second drop is completed and the new coaster finishes very soon so I can see the end result. I can't wait to go to Kennywood again and ride the Phantom's Revenge when it opens. But I have to ride Hypersonic XLC first on opening day, March 24th before the phantom!!!!!

is it just me or is gonna look funny having morgan track on half of this coaster and arrow track on the other half?
What's up with the proposed double-up after the first drop?? Did it fall through? I haven't heard anything about it lately.

The surprise? Oh, you might like the "angle" the drop will be taking...

The double-up is officially out. I don't really mind it. I think it would have ruined the pace of the ride.

Matt Lynch, who always liked the flat section between hills 1 and 2 anyway...
