We went there a total of 4 nights, each night i tackeled most of the rides.
Wild wheels- This is the southernmost pier, offering 2 coasters as well as flat and kiddie rides.
Great White(cci woodie) - This is a pretty good coaster, which was neatly and cleverly fit into the amusement pier. It has a cool underground tunnel right after it leaves the station, which leads up to the 110 foot lift. It gives great views going up, especially at night with a full moon. This was my 5th or 6th time here, so I knew what to expect. Its a great ride along with a great view up front, and painful but airtime-filled ride in the back. Nothing really exciting happened, except for the last night. The operators shut the ride down temporarily, but it was 2 hours. There were mechanics working on the little dip from the breaks to the station. I lined up about 15 minutes before it opened, and when I looked back, the line was REALLY long behind me! I got the first seat on the first train out. In total i got about 17 rides total. The lines were only 1 or 2 train except for the last night, it was about 15 minutes! The front was longer as well.
Doo Wopper(Zamperla Wild Mouse) - This is a fun wild mouse, although its not that wild with all the damn trim breaks (I count three). Only 2 of the hairpin turns give their full potential, the others are lame. I rode this with my mom in order to glide her onto the great white. This one had a long line both times i rode it (20 minutes!)
The Inverter - This a cool flat Ride. Although its painful on the legs, its fun to watch and ride.
Skyride - Typical skilift, only made for a ride. Its cool going over the great white, too.
The Go-Karts under the great Whhite were cool, but the ride op was really annoying and was throwing people out for taping other karts.
The other rides on this pier i passed up because they were mostly kiddie, except the tornado and even that was kiddie.
Mariner's Landing - This is the "Middle Pier" and is usually where all the action is. It has the coolest selection of flat rides, and close behind in coasters.
Sea Serpant (vekoma boomerang) - Thank god this ride was re-vamped and re-fitted in 98'. If you rode it before that, it was shear pain. The new Vekoma train is comfortable and pretty smooth. The ride is fun, and gives a good thrill for its small cramped space. One question though, Are there trim breaks on all boomerangs after the loop? I know there are in sfne, but thats in. I got about 14 rides total on this. There was only a 1 or 2 train wait for the whole train, 3 or 4 for the front.
The "Maelstorm"? - This was an incredible flat ride, probably second best after evolution at sfgadv. Take 6 inverted coaster cars (4 accross) and place them in a hexoganal circle. Attach the tops to a steel arm, and have them all converge in the middle, so the whole chasis looks like a claw. This claw is again attached to an arm and is spun fowards, backwards, upside down, rightside up, and is rotated durring the whole thing. I got about 20 rides.
Rollie's Coaster - This replaces the old Zyclon. Its better, but theres no need for OTSR's. This is a wild mouse type, but its got some twists and dives involved in the figure8 track. Another trimmer too, I counted 5! Rode this 2 times, It always had a long wait.
The storm - This is like the twister at sfgadv, but its much more twisted. You are hauled on a 2 row, 40 seater gondola supported by two large arms. It is flipped, swung, and dipper vertically. At one point you are hung upsidedown for like 5 seconds. It then moves one arm foward, so that the gondola tilts over and looks as it will colapse.5 rides.
I also rode big wheel and teacups anlong with these cool go-karts that were like underground.
Morey's Pier - This is the northernmost pier by moreys, and has the most coasters. Up front, by the kiddie rides, its alwys crowded. Back by the 'easter, its empty.
Great Nor'Easter(vekoma slc) - They must have done something to this, because last year, It was a headache. This time, it was rough, but tolerable and fun. Usually i rode front, or second row, because the back is really rough in the back. There was only a 3 or 4 train wait with 1 train, or 1 train wait with two trains. I love how this ride wheaves in and out of the water slides, especiall the double in-line, when your feet come within 12" of the log flume. Hit this one about 20 times total.
The RC-48 Coaster - This is a painful little coaster with tight turns and a steep lift hill. I liked the Jet star before it, but whatya gonna do?? There were trims before the final helix, but it didnt bother me - I only rode it once with no wait.
Flitzer - This is a "carnival" sort of coaster but i rode it with my sister in memory of schwartignof(sp). It even has an onride photo! Rode once, it had a 20 minute wait!!
The other rides here included dantes inferno, Zoom Flume, breakdance, and the gravitro. These were all fun, but i actually felt sick on breakdance.
All in all this was a great trip. Every night i bought the three pier wristband, so i got unlimited rides all day. Thanks for reading.
