Morey's Piers

Plans have been made to dismantle the RC48 at Morey’s 25th St. Pier. Doo Wopper from Wild Wheels is planned to replace the RC48. Golden Nugget move recently has been projected for 2006.

Ha! Good riddance.

People complain about Togos, Hercules, Mean Streak, Flashback, etc - this ride had them all beat in the "sadistic torture" department.

To this day if someone asks what the worst coaster I've ever ridden is, RC-48 is the response.

If we lived closer to each other, we could meet for a drink and celebrate!

Now the question is: Since the Doo Wopper is going to Morey's Pier, what is going to replace the Doo Wopper?

taking a wild shot in the dark, is Gold Nugget replacing doo wopper? lol :P *** Edited 10/11/2004 2:06:45 PM UTC by P18***

Yeah, but if we had drink over it, we'd probably end up getting buzzed and heading over and riding the damn thing one last time.

I said it before, I'll say it again...

Considering the leg room and how your knees slammed into the seat in front of you, they should have kept RC-48 and themed it to NJ's "reputaion", stereotyped as it is...

RC-48... The God Father Coaster... "You ride-a my coasta', I breaka ya knees... Cabish?

I don't think any amount of alcohol would convince me to take another ride on that thing!

"Godfather: The Ride"... why hasn't anyone thought of that one? That and "Cops: The Escape" are just themes waiting to happen.

Yes, this coaster sticks out in my mind as being among the [relatively] few that I ride once to log, and forget about forever.
I wanted to forget it but could never seen to do that. A good example of pain lingering on ;)
Let me clarify - I meant "forget about" ever riding again! Of course I remember the negative experience!
