Morey Family donates log flume to struggling park

Posted | Contributed by Agent Johnson

With work underway, Morey's Piers in Wildwood, New Jersey has donated a 1970 Arrow log flume from the recently purchased Hunt's Pier to Arnold's Park in Iowa.

(Reported in a recent issue of Amusement Today.)

Could this be the start of the SOF (Save Old Flume) movement? :)

Roller coasters, South Park, auto racing, and storm chasing: Food groups for the mind.
......sniff...sniff.......damn dusty keyboard.....sniff...sniff

All ways nice to hear about parks giving each other a boost, as opposed to the big parks trying to slit each other's throat's.

Everybody calm down, the coasters do not open for another fifteen minutes.
There will ba an article coming up on Thursday in the Des Moines Register about this deal.
Hey bababooey, did you ever run the nugget? And agent johnson, you have heard nothing about the Golden Nugget?
It is SBNO as of today. It may operate again, or it may need a new home. They Morey's are in no rush to remove it. I do not think they will make a rash decision for a one of a kind ride.

I was able to ride the Nugget last summer and take a POV video, just in case.
Hey Agent Johnson, the ride was not open last summer, how did you ride it? and would there be any way you could send me a copy of the video you took, it would be great for my collection, and mainly because I loved that ride.
Some of us are just special.......
Okay Mr. Special, but seriously how were you able to ride it? And what about the copy of the video? Could you send me one?
Coasterman... I operated the nugget for a brief time, but did not manage. The Log Flume was my baby.
Agent, I think the video your describing was taken in 99 not 2000!
You are right. I still have grease on my Khakis and a big bad scratch on my radio from that walk through last year. Actually, I have 2 videos from 99. Thanks.
Wow, Agent Johnson if the ride is still there in the spring or the summer, that is what I was planning to do actually. Was it hard to get in there?
I have the bad feeling you know me and I know you. If you are trustworthy, it may be arranged. Email me when you are coming down. Say no more. You best be no lawyer.
lol
I visited Wildwood in 98, Dino Beach's final season, and videotaped Golden Nugget on the ride, and the other piers as well. I have footage of the log flume.
hey rob k, e mail me at sr45331@hotmail.com, we need to talk, thanks
