Has an expected opening date been announced for X-Flight?

Not that I know of. Odds are they're shooting for early May.

Excellent group photo, Scott. That was an awesome time! Too bad you can't figure out that five cars should be following you to Max and Erma's but instead they are taking pic of green coaster track on the side of the road. :)

Bass what do you mean when it wil open? Um with the park? LOL you don't know because your probaly live in a year-round park. :)
What is the wood for on the ground? And has anyone seen a layout for XFlight? I'd really like to see the layout for this coaster.
The layout for X-Flight is extremely similar to Stealth. The entire first half is the same, up to the turn after the vertical loop. From there, Stealth flies for a couple of seconds and then flips you back over to take the corkscrews on your back. X-F stays in the flying position throughout the entire last half of the ride (correct?). It has one extra helix at the end of the ride that Stealth lacks. Otherwise, they're identical (well, Stealth has side by side stations, too).

Hey, what's all that white stuff on the ground in the SFO pix? That must sure get in the way of the construction crews...

Responding to Go Full Force:
The wooden box looking things are put there so they can poor the concrete and it will take a square shape. They are hollow and the top is open.
Yep that white stuff does tend to slow up construction. I got yet another day off today due to it. At least we got paid for 2 hours for showing up.
Those wooden things are called forms. They put oil on them so they pull off the concrete easier. When it's cold out they also put big blankets around them so the concrete cures properly instead of freezing. The rebar is put in place before the forms our put in up entirly. Thats enough of construction 101 for now. :)

Not Too Shabby For A Summer
People say this Coaster will not be ready when the park re-opens in May, but I think it will be, Some people may forget how fast Vekoma built Steath at PGA( It only took them about 1 month and 3 weeks, Probably a Record)
So Providing they build it that quick at SFO, X-Flight will easily open on time, and people can enjoy it on opening day, I will have to wait until June for my chance to ride it, and I cant wait:):)
Had to change my Sig. to say SFWoA instead of SFO, seems weird!

Fabulous, can you remove the spaces now so we don't have to scroll through seven pages of your signature?

I think they should make something like the SkyRide at CP over Geauga Lake, That would be cool
Geauga Lake used to have a sky ride where Serial Thriller is, it was removed in 94 or so. It would be hard to build a skyride over the lake since they would need to have some sort of evacuation system in the event the ride stops.
Legendary; when and where did you see the layout I would like to see it. I've heard the exact same thing about the layout that it will be very similar to Stealth but the end will have "flying" corkscrews. But where did you see the layout?
It will also have a helix finale.
Oooh, hmmm...I actually forget where I saw the layout (I ALWAYS do! Man, I need to learn how to save these URL's...). I did see the actual overhead layout from a pic and I've seen the animation. It showed the helix and the flying corks.
