More X-Flight and New SFWoA Midway Pics

Posted | Contributed by Matthew Baughman

God's Play Toys has posted pictures of X-Flight's exact location and completed first drop. It's also being built in more than one stage now. See the new midway being constructed to connect both sides of the park also.

SAVE NAPSTER!
Can someone help,I cant find the pics on the page, any chance of a direct link to the pics.
Yeah, nice job on the pics. People keep telling me I'm crazy when I say I KNOW the ride will be open when I visit SFO for the first time on 5/13/01, but it looks like it is moving along very quickly!

That first drop is wicked enough on the PGA version of Stealth...it will be even better with a highway practically right under you!
These pics are AWESOME. I may have to Change my name to xflightfan00!
Paul D, the pics are all the way at the bottom of the page. I appreciate the pics but the page needs better organization.
I'm really not sure how anyone can love Batwing or X-Flight yet, seeing as though I'm pretty sure none of us have ridden it... Unless we work for Vekoma, and they have one built, but that's a stab in the dark.

Also, there are enough trivial differences in design from Stealth to the new ones that make them more appealing. Vekoma has essentially solved all of Stealth's design problems, and then some. Some examples being the dual loading platforms, the outside looping corkscrews, and the reclining on the lift.

It's coming...
so is stealth ever going to be changed like batwing and xflight.. and people please dont hate on STEALTH if batwing and xflight is almost the same give PGA some props for introducing the first flying ever
That's a good queastion LanCer. I don't know if it will be. I was thinking I heard before that they were either having computer problems or it was a hydraulics problem that kept them from laying down half way up the lift. It's tough to say if they can fix it. Maybe this dual loading dock station is one way of fixing it. It could be a case where they laid them down so they didn't have to worry about them while going up the lift (safety feature). Who knows. But I too would like to see Stealth get that changed. I can't wait to ride X-Flight!!

Intamin Fan - Luckly, I went back to look and I found the pics, for some reason, they didnt show up first time I went to the page, but they are there now.

Anyway, those are some great pics, and X-Flight is coming along nicely, If they can do all that construction in about 1 week, this ride will be finished before the end of March easily which means they can do their usual month of testing all through April and then ready for opening in May. I am visiting SFO this year and I cant wait, X-Flight looks awesome and I cant wait to ride it. Something tells me that I might have a new all time favourite coaster come June 2001;);)
Cool
