more screen shots + flat ride spotted

AMartin777, I know what you mean by starting the Thread but I have XP and I personally think it's better than 98. I have had no problems. Batwing is right about installing 98 first because it cost a lot less to get the Home version aside from the Proff. version.

The computer I'm using is new.however it came with win95 pre-installed so there's not much that can be done except to change to win98 in order to run RCT2,the main hitch however is that my mother uses the computer for online work related to her job so I'm not sure if her communications software can run on win98, it was through her place of work that we were able to get a computer with online access, they supplied the hardware, modems, communications software etc.

Maybe when the demo for RCT2 is released I'll download it and see if it'll work on win95.

wow....this is AMAZING!!!!

I noticed something in the first pic.... the window says something like "Rolling Thunder | Track 0" Does this mean coasters can now have the same name if they are dueling?!!! I WANT THIS GAME!!!!

Funkmasterk you can name rides the sam thing you just have to hit the space bar after the last letter as many times as yu want to use the name

ex *=space bar hit

cyclone

cyclone*

cyclone**

or if a 2 word name simply ad an extra space btween the words ex rolling thunder rolling**thunder

Well, Spryboy I don't want to start a whole thread about which is better but many people, including myself, will NOT install WinXP because of numerous issues with how it operates.

You're being silly. It's robust, stable, fully 32-bit, fast, and secure. If you're whining about the registration thing, it's about as non-invasive and benign as an anti-piracy thing gets. It's ridiculous to forgo all the benefits of XP over some "political" misunderstanding.

Yet another RCT 2 topic turns in to flame war over Windows versions.

Been running it since beta 2. About a year, actually, and the OS has never crashed. Remember when you had to reinstall 95 or 98 about once every six months or more? Thank God those days are gone.

Thats not custom supports, its senery stacking, its the same technique that was used to make the Six Flags Magic Mountain Enterance

Ok. I'm kinda confused. Can somebody explain how it's scenery stacking? I know you have to stack to scenery, but doesn't that make it like custom supports if you stacked the scnery to make it look like supports? Sorry but I'm just confused. Also, does anybody think that those supports will automatically appear when you build track?

Ok.....no one here has played the game so non of us know if they are or not. Lets wait untill the game comes out first before we start arguing about stuff were not sure of.

I was never arguing. I was just wondering why everybody thought it was stacked scenery. Sorry.

I don't think those "custom supports" appear automatically at all.

Look at the full sized images on gamespot. The new angled supports on the wooden coasters are added manually, after the fact, by scenery stacking... I'm almost sure of it. Why? Look on the "western town" picture and notice the tower in the lower left... it has the *same* angled side supports.

Themed restrooms! Water spouts and "water-fall walls"! There is some really cool stuff! I wonder what else is in there that we haven't seen yet!

... I just noticed those same "custom supports" are on the top hat, and also at the base of the Deja Vu. Definitely scenery. It's very cool that there's obviously a category for "supports" for various rides and such!

If you look at the picture with the top hat, behind the water fall, there is a submarine ride!

Check out RCTSTATION they have full screen hi resolution views of these screeen shots you can see the above mentioned submarine ride as well as track for it below water also you will see that Deja Vu has the correct style trains and that B&M(steel twister) coasters have vertical track options
