ChannelCincinnati.com reports that workers are still smoothing out the track, adding "It has nothing to do with ride safety, it's a very safe ride."
Check it out at WLWT's site.
Boy, that sucks. At least PKI is honest this time and trying not to screw up again. I'll still be going tomorrow for the Beast walkback. At least it is still running.

how long does it take to smoth out track its been a week sence it closed!!!!!!!
yeah... I'm gonna be there in a few days now.
HURRY...PLEASE HURRY!!!!!!
This is what I was told. The coaster was built into a creek bed. They covered the creek in order to build the coaster but didn't take into consideration the run off of water down the hill. They didn't put the footers in correct Therefore the loop is sinking into the ground and sinking fast. This is causing major problems and it may not open until late this year if at all.

Actually, Bigman, the problem is not the loop it's on the second hill. The newspaper and the park said that 15 feet of track needed to be smoothed out to make it a smooth ride. Some how I don't believe the loop story one bit. The park said it is going to try to open it this weekend. BTW who told you about the loop story? Read the story.

Yes, SOB is built over a small creek but before any footer was poured they built a concrete channel for the stream and buried it. SOB is not sinking.

Ahhh! So THAT's the long concrete thing I saw during construction last year! Thanks! It was bugging me. Couldn't figure it out.
First the Magnum is sinking, now the Son of Beast is!! HA! :)
