My local newspaper (Dayton Daily News is about an hour away from PKI) put in an article about TR:TR today. It has a pic of the giant Brahma statue with it. Looks like the theming will be even better with the detail in this thing. It doesn't tell much we dont already know but it talk about the lighting and some special effects. It also confirms you have to be 54 inches to ride. here is the link for the article http://www.activedayton.com/ddn/local/0306tomb2.html
and here is the pic that is on the home page of the site

If the shoe fits, find another one.
1.4 meters....... and that is what in feet?
Where's the picture? I can't find it.
Not that I want one but isn't the capacity of a Giant TS about 75. But the only thing would be that it says four groups of about 75. That'd only mean that there's four giant topspins and I don't think that's possible in a 91 by 91 by 80 foot building. I think that PKI may have done some major research for just the part of keeping the ride secret. One: they sent the supposedly false blue prints of a giant top spin to screamscape. Two: a top spin some what would fit the ride description. And three: PKI has been bashed for over-hyping SoB (they didn't do this in my opinion) and with an attraction like a Giant Top Spin being expected, then the public finds out its something bigger and better, they WOULD NOT be let down.
Anyone understand what I'm getting to?

LOL, one last question.
I know the queue will start inside, but it doesn't seem that there won't be a lot of waiting room once you walk into the cave. I guess the que will lead to the outside to the outside pathway or what?
-----------------
Yes there is a LOT of waiting room. There are multiple gueue buildings. Plus the line is under ground, which could mean that you walk up a ramp to go to the waiting area. Why else would there be a bulding (not the main one) if the queue was under ground.
I just peiced that together. I feel speeeeecial. :)

If my "hunch" proves correct, I believe the que to be outside the building. Once you enter the main cave entrance, you will then be "divided up."
The buildings themselves were not dug deep enough to warrant underground ques. That was evident prior to closing last season.

I`ve ridden Son of Beast 67 times!
(previous prediction can be found in this thread)
I seem to remember hearing that there would be multiple queue paths and multiple chambers within the queue house.
So I amend my prediction (as stated in my 8/11/2002 trip report) as follows, based on all the information I have so far...
Tomb Raider: The Ride will be an elaborate themed fun-house. Based on the most recent report, it is likely that there will be four different paths through this fun-house, with each path capable of handling about 75 people. The ride portion of the attraction will be entirely contained within the large 91'x91'x80' building which has thus far been kept secret. The entire queue structure will be located above ground, but through landscaping and theming will appear to be entirely underground. The four fun-house queues will provide overlapping pre-shows for the final ride experience, and the exits from these pre-show queues will form the entrance to a single large-capacity European flat ride. Said flat ride will be entirely enclosed, and will include inversion elements. At the moment, the Huss Giant Top Spin, which seats 77 riders ("about 75") per cycle and would easily fit into the show building...and which complies with PKI's claim that the ride will be the first of its kind in North America...remains the most likely contender, but certainly not the only possibility.
By providing a pre-show which runs for slightly more than four times the ride cycle interval, and running four editions of that pre-show simultaneously, the park can cleverly allow for continuous loading of the queue houses even though the ride vehicle requires batch loads, and easily eliminate the usual standing around normally associated with batch-load rides. This could well prove to be a good method for managing the ride queue, although it requires four times the planning and construction of a more traditional pre-show setup. On the other hand, it means that the single attraction can provide four similar, but entirely different preshow experiences.
I guess we'll find out in a month if I'm even close.

The main entrance is burried by groundwork, That cave entrance apeared to be right at the entrance to the old KMLF. I suspect that is the main entrance. Also there is at least three buildings other than the ride building. I suspect that after you enter the cave entrance you are led to believe you are underground wheather you are or not.
The main entrance is covered over though.

167 coasters and hopes to be over 200 by the end of 2002 :)
Well somehow my thinking was that there was only two pre-shows but Im impressed by the Four statement!
If there is the chance to do four different pre-shows (Experiences) this will not be nearly as boring as FOF has become. Granted I visit multiple times and for the newbie FOF's preshow would still be neat as I think it is but am just burnt out on it.
Now if that theming in the preshows is anything close to Possidons Fury, I AM SO THERE!
Chuck, who enjoyed the special effects of Possidons Fury even though there was no RIDE to it! :)
