More construction at Magic Mountain

Posted | Contributed by Karl DeAngelo

X is progressing very well with more lift supports and more track being attached. On the other side of the park, construction walls have been erected for the alleged S&S pay attraction. Pics are on Twisted Rails.

wow, i didn't believe that magic mountain was actually gonna get a fourth attraction. i still doubt, however, that it is a 300ft tall pay per ride attraction from S&S
Can't wait for the next update! Hopefully those Deja Vu signs go down really soon.

Deja Vu - Think you've experienced it before...think again!

X - Xperience the Xtreme - It breaks all the rules!
Lookin good! I can't wait to ride this baby in August, thats if it's open then?!?!
From what it looks like I don't think it will open fully furnished, untill next year. It will probably look like a rather large travelling ride untill then!

Perhaps one of the reasons vertical construction was delayed was the fabrication of that bridge. Speaking of which, it looks really cool. I'm surprised this is the first one on a coaster. It kinda adds to its precarious look.

And fourth attractioon? I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it. So what is that thing going to be again?

Decisions determine destiny; Destiny determines decisions.
You guys really think those little walls are for a fourth attraction? They look more like they're building a new shop/restaurant. I mean they look kinda weak. I noticed in the picture there was a sign on one of the walls, any info as to what it says? It may seem like i dont want a fourth attraction by my post but my philosophy is the more the merrier.

That lift bridge has been used before and by Arrow. It's the same type of support used on Desperado at Stateline.

As for this rumored fouth attraction its supposed to be a new S&S Sling-shot style attraction. while not mentioning SFMM specifically the ride was mentioned briefly in the WIRED article a few months ago. Just like a Skycoaster this would be an upcharge attraction and not included in the price of admission.

For the record I have also heard that Knott's was to get one of these for the site where the Haunted Shack used to be. However neither park has confirmed anything at this point so its all speculation.

I am SOOOOO ready to make my first trip out west! Great photos. Thanks so much!!

I was on the rumors page about 3 months ago and someone said that there was going to be a 4th attraction this year; he/she said it was going an S&S attraction. Now at first I didn't belive it but I remember that this was the same person who said that Magic Mountain was getting 3 new rollercoasters, long before it was announced. So whoever this person is, their rumors seem to be true.
"...the fabrication of that bridge. Speaking of which, it looks really cool. I'm surprised this is the first one on a coaster."

What exactly is it about this bridge that make it the first one on a coaster? ON? I think I am missing something.
I can't wait for this to open
Here's another update a few days newer than this one; http://americacoasters.com/SFMMConstruction/may30/pg1.html
Magic Mountain needs to STOP already! That park gets TOO MUCH attention while my home park (AstroWorld) gets NONE!
