In the sue-happy world we live in this story does not suprise me at all, it's just sad that people are beginning to target roller coasters as their source of income.
Yeah I smell money too. Well at least its not like that one other case w/ the "like" girls and the boomerang problem.
Sounds like someone saw a certain news story and decided they could try to get some cash for themselves.

Hmmmmmm....

My grandmother rode Hersheypark's Comet and had a stroke... better call my lawyer! (Never mind the fact that at least 20 years separated the two events!)

After the tragedy in California, the "ambulance chasers" will be out in full force... and they will find plenty of lawyers to acomodate them (and unfortunately they will probably find juries that will find in their favor as well).

Who are all of us to judge though? We don't know the facts of the case. Maybe the woman really WAS hurt. Is it so wrong for her to seek compensation ofr her injury? You all are judging a book by a cover ever time reports of an injury come in, and i find it kinda sick.

I find it kind of sick because yes, the coaster could have caused it, but so could a sneeze, a quick stop in the car, walking down stairs, etc. Those are the medical facts associated with all the recent research and reports that they don't talk about on the news.

It seems I notice a pattern here:

After one "big News" Mishap, there seems to be 1 and sometimes 2 quick others that follow up in the news within a 1 week time frame
