More accusers come forward about fondling from Tigger at Disney World

Posted | Contributed by Chitown

More people have come forward claiming that a costumed Tigger character at Disney World inappropriately touched them while posing for photographs. Michael Chartrand, who wore the costume, was arrested April 2 and is out on bail.

How can you really fondle somebody in an oversize costume anyway? I have a feeling this is being blown way out of proportion
you know there is a club for that. no joke Dressing up in animal costumes and getting it on !it was on CSI miami" on TV.What is this world coming to!
While this appears to be damning evidence, a) there is more than 1 employee that dresses up as Tigger - timesheet records will show if the allegations are Chartrand or not, and b) according to Disney, he started in July 2003 and some of the claims pre-date his employment at the park.
That guy didn't just go from zero to double goody grabber. He started with an accidental bump to a brush and went on from there. Among the thousand words from that mug shot was "Oh crap, what if the others talk?"

When he goes to the Big House, I want my $20 from you personally.

JohnBail, And if it's on CSI Maimi, you KNOW it HAS TO be true!

I'm with 'Playa, this guy just smells dirty. And yes, that's my opinion.

Ha! Right?

However, just a little searching on the 'net and you'll find adult sites devoted to exactly that practice.

its called fursuiting/furry, and I happen to know someone on the net who does it as a lyfestyle , and some including him go to hospitals for terminally ill children sometimes to cheer them up in costume, which is really nice. They don't all go Yiff or whatever, and some have cool artwork. Its somewhat like being a trekky or whatever, they have conventions and meetings and stuff , its just how you choose to live which is fine. Anyway, I saw this coming but I too think its was blown out of perportion. If hes not guilty then I feel bad for him because basically his life/carreer or whatever is ruined. if he did do these things on purpose he deserves whatever he gets, but there should be more proof.*** This post was edited by P18 4/12/2004 5:04:49 PM ****** This post was edited by P18 4/12/2004 5:06:12 PM ***
Um hello?

Wearing a costume for a living does NOT make you a furry...nor does working for Disney mean you're not a creep in disguise.

So can I put you down for $20, P18? Cuz I'll take your money too.

I just can't figure out HOW this whole *Tigger thing* has gona on SO long with nary a mention of "Sexual Harrassment Panda"....the innovator, the originator, the FIRST costumed character to bring the issue to the attention of the mainstream media....:)
im sorry...but when i first read this headline.....i just burst out laughing....

and im surprised that it took 6 or 7 posts for rollergator to drop a joke in there....thats why i laughed, cause i thought of the myriad of things you would say bill, lol;)

Tim.....who, if he ever makes it to WDW, will avoid the "bouncy tiger" lol :)

Thanks Tim....mostly I just entertain myself, it's nice to know every once in awhile someone else gets a chuckle...

Now I have to go, back to the Island of Misfit Mascots for me...;)

How could I have forgotten about Sexual Harassment Panda? LOL How ironic that episoide of South Park has relevance...
Here's a new link that has video of an alleged grope by Tigger...the thing is, this incident occurred in December 2002 - before Chartrand was employed by Disney.
