Montreal inks deal with Six Flags for La Ronde

The deal between the City of Montreal and Six Flags is on its way to completion early next year, as the company intends to lease the park land on a long-term basis and pour US $60 million into the park over three to four seasons.

Screamscape must be quoting the Canadian dollar. ;) I'm pretty sure that the park's own press release would be correct, don't you?

Six Flags is going to be hating life. Do they really think they can negotiate U.S. style agreements with the Canadian trade unions? Especially the ones in Quebec. If they (the unions) don't get what they want they will strike. Canadian strikes have been known to last YEARS! Try running any business under those conditions.
WELL POOR LA RONDE BUT THERE STIKES ARE HELL!! ALSO THEY HAVE TO HAVE EVERY SIGN IN BOTH ENGLISH AND FRENCH FOR THE QUEBICOIS(FRENCH-CANADIANS OR VICE-A-VERSA)
