Monsters Inc.

I just saw Monsters Inc. (very cute movie). While i was watching the scene where Sulley, Boo, and Mike are riding the doors, i thought that a ride like that would be a great addition to a Disney park. People could ride on or in the doors and there would be lots of near misses with other doors and large drops, maybe looking like a more intense E.T. ride. It almost seemed as though this scene was put in the movie specifically so that Disney could build a themed tie-in ride. What does everyone else think of a Monsters Inc. coaster?

I just watched that movie today! yeah, that would be cool for like a 3D Movie or something, or like a Back to the Future Ride.

Magnum is Red,
Millenium Force is Blue.
I love Wicked Twister
And Raptor too.

I think it would be a great theme for a Caripro Suspended. Seen Here.

I also had a similar idea. Seems like a great addition to DCA since they lack characters of their own besides the ones from A Bugs Life.

84 coasters and counting

This has been discussed how many times before?

I just saw Monsters Inc a few days ago. That scene immediately reminded me of the Ghoster Coaster at PKI.

Good potential, but would Disney make it all that it could be? Hopefully with the Euro Disney guy now head of Diney Parks. Please don't make it a caprio suspended. Lots of downtime (elevator lift), like 800 feet long, and baaaaad capacity (like 200 pph with a dual track). A vekoma suspended (do they make them?) would actually be better.

Well, what VEKOMA did, was retrofitting an Arrow suspended (VAMPIRE at Chessington, UK) with new, swinging floorless trains. It is said to be a good ride, but it wouldnt be a VEKOMA if there wasnt a serious problem with the ride. Right now the front row seats can not be used due to excessive headbanging that occurs when the train hits the guiding rails that stop the seats from swinging. Excuse me, a suspended without the frontseat is pretty senseless. And I dont see many other retrofits in the US in the forseeable future.

Vekoma has also made Suspended coasters completely under their own design (although they are shockingly similar to the Arrow's)
