LOL I just relized something, Wicked Twister cost more than Magnum XL-200, Wicked Twister 9 millon and Magnum XL-200 8 millon, yeah I know of inflation, but thats just funny to me.

In general, we follow the rule of 20 years at 3.5% inflation results in the doubling of prices...Maggie isn't quite there yet, but I'd say Maggie now would probably run around $13M, assuming all else is equal...(I know, yeah right, like ANYTHING remains constant...).  That's why pure science never works out in "the real world"....

RGW: I went to a COLA/CPI site and checked it out and Maggie 8mill price tag in 1988 dollars equals just under 12 million in 2001 dollars (its slightly less if you use '89 and '02, but I didnt)

mamoosh....dude, that was awesome!!  haha...oh man, killed me:)  yeah, although Maggie was cheaper back then, Wicked Twister should really be more...im guessing that the LIMs that Intamin uses are probably not really cheap....i could be wrong, but those things look like they are way ahead of launch technolodgy:)  ive always loved looking atVolcanoTBC's LIMs...they just look really ahead of their time.

I saw an Extreme Rides episode that focused on S:UE. The LIM engine room looks pretty complex and extravagant. A part of the ride underneath the area that you actually see. If you saw the episode, you know exactly what I'm saying. If you missed it then you have NO IDEA.

Also, buying domestic is significantly cheeper. X wound up costing only $14 mill. I assume they will up the price now since the prototype is operating with rave reviews.

Yeah, LoadedG, I think they said something like 5600 extra amps for the holding LIM on the vertical tower. They had a huge power system devoted just to that!
