Modernism and Disneyland's 50th

I saw in the latest edition of Modernism Magazine a spread on the artwork that Shag did to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Disneyland. You can see it by clicking on the Disneyland link at http://www.shag.com/

The artwork is quite kitschy and has that whole 50s feel. I like the Tomorrowland work artwork the best (and the Adventureland Tiki mug).

At first I did not think that Shag was commissioned by Disneyland. But by looking over the items for sale, I would think that if Disney did not approve or have something to do with Shag's artwork, that Disney would have shut them down almost immediately.
