model coaster

Please help me. I need to know what to use for the track of my model coaster. I have used Plastruct but that is not easily bendable. I need it to be easily managed for tight turns and inversions. It needs to be tight becuase it has to be on a 24'' by 24'' area for a contest at PKI. Please Help.

A lot depends on what king of cocaster you are modeling. Balsa or basswood can be soaked and bent carefully. Plastic can be bent with the application of just the right amount of heat. Copper tube bends very easily and brass pretty easily. Piano wire or brass rod can also be used for steel coasters.

Is there something like flat wire. I have tried to use wires but when I make the ties they always fall off when I bend it And the wire that I use is not big enough to use singly.

I've thought about using think solder for my model's rails. You can find some at a hobby shop.
