Mmagic Mountain lines

After working at a park and seeing monthly prediction calendars and actual figures, I say Mondays are still the best.

Soggy You are Wrong. wayy Wrong. I am sorry Superman Lovers STE is not qorth the two hour wait. This is the way you want to do it. you got the poor kid walking up and down the hill. Instead of Hitting X first Hit Goliath cuase its waits can be very unpredictable not to mention it breaking down alot. Although it was down not as much as last year. Then hit BTR. Skip Collosus Nothing special there. Then Hit RR then Arrow Head Splash down for a cool down. then Maybe Deja Vu, Then up the hill by Deja Vu to Viper. Enter the Panda Express Walkway(Right across from Viper Exit) Then Hit X , after some nice free water from Panda. Then If you are shorter than 5'9" hit Revolution, cuase if your not you will be saying owwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Cuase we all no there is no leg room on that thing. Then now you should be back at the midway, go left and hit the orient Express up the trail to Samuraii Sumit. Hang a right and look at the line for STE. IF it is stopped outside the Entrance Get in line if it isnt dont. Cuase the stoppage means they are only letting a certain amount of peeps in at a time which keeps the place very cool. By the time you are hitting STE it should be about 7:00 P.M. If you followed the way i told you. Also Go on a Monday or Tuesday.

My pattern was based upon getting the slowest loaders out of the way first. On your pattern you would be getting to the slowest loaders when they have the longest lines. Yes, it takes him up and down the hill, but if you want shorter waits, that is the way to do it. Goliath does not break down a lot. It often sets up, (a sensor stops the ride) causing a 10 minute delay. I have never seen it down for a whole day, and I have been there PLENTY of times.

The fact that both DV and X are new, and slow loaders is reason enough to get to those first. While much of the park is stuck in those 2 queues, you can be hitting the other good rides.

I agree that Superman:TE is not worth a 2 hour wait. If the outdoor queue is longer than the circular part of the line, (the part with the large concrete Supermal logo in-lay) forget it. Then again, I was able to have 25 Superman:TE re-rides last October, so ANY wait seems too long for me. ;)

When people used to ask me what my SFMM game-plan is I always told them to head up to STE and get that out of the way before riding anything else.  STE was the only coaster with capacity issues.  However with Deja Vu and X that has changed.

I experienced Deja Vu twice after it opened and waited over an hour each time.  I experienced X on five different days during preview and with an average dispatch interval of 5 minutes they were moving a measley 336 people an hour [12 dispatches per hour, 28 people per train], a worse capacity than Deja vu!.  A full queue will be at least 3 hours.

So when my friends come out for Winter Solace in March and we visit SFMM on Sunday this is the plan:  hit X first, then over to Deja Vu, then up to STE.  Yes, it requires a bit of walking around at first but once you knock out those three the rest of the coasters all operate with a decent to excellent capacity and lines should be very manageable.  You can start with Ninja and walk the park in a circle.

I agree with Soggy and Mamoosh. In fact I always warn people in advance. If you want to go to SFMM, be prepared to walk up and down hills. If that's too much for you, go to Knott's instead. You absolutely better hit X and Deja Vu first thing in the morning. Otherwise it's going to be a long day...
