Mitch's poll steel results are in

I think the following is the highlight

1. SROS SFNE

2. Eagle Fortress

3. Expedition Ge Force

12. Millennium Force

-Eric: Major Parks: SFNE(homepark), SFA,SFGADV,CP,BGE,BGA,Kennywood, and Sea World: Track record 65 different coasters ridden #1 is Millennium Force #2 is El Toro and than there are all the others

While there are certainly more important things in life than a poll, I am saddened to find MF slip that much. I don't see how a classic arror suspended coaster could be any better, but please lets not get into another disguccion simply b/c it had only 13 riders.

Wow, now these results ARE obviously statistically significant because I like these coasters. :) ;)

Italian for discussion? Shouldn't it have an 'e' on the end?

If anything, this reinforces pretty much everything has been said in the other thread about the flaws in the methodology of the poll.

I know that any poll is a matter of personal and collective opinion, but in what universe is California Screamin' a better roller coaster than Magnum?

No, actually I think that refers to a very expensive handbag that you really don't even like. :) Sorry, I couldn't resist that one.

230 Pony Express (boring, tiny coaster, barely passed kiddle coaster level)

235 Canyon Blaster (Adventuredome)

and

66 California Screamin'

72 Goliath (SFMM)

What a joke!

My mother (1946-2009) once asked me why I go to Magic Mountain so much. I said I feel the most alive when I'm on a roller coaster.
2010 total visits: SFMM-9, KBF-2
2010 total ride laps: 437

There's some good coasters in the Top 10. Don't know how Lisebergbahnan, and Olympia Looping could wind up all the way down in the 40's though. They are flatout better than at least 20 coasters above them.

Any poll that has Space Mountain above Scream! and Montezooma's Revenge above Desperado has to be flawed, lol. I have been comparing all the coasters I have been on which are near each other in the poll. These two examples jumped out at me like, did I really just see that?

^ Um, I MUCH prefer Space Mountain to Scream AND Monte over the rough and hell Desperado. Are you kidding me! lol

What is with you? The only person who keeps bringing up Cedar Point is you. Your winkies don't excuse from it or make you funny.

You aren't touching on anything, you're just bordering on trolling.

You're ALL wrong. Everybody knows that Kersplash at the Puyallup Fair is the world's finest steel coaster. Approximately two-thirds of the ride is spent on the ride's two lifts. Its butter-smooth navigation of interlaced twisting drops is followed immediately by a pair of straight drops into a stagnant, sewer-like trough.
